New York City help...

We're going to see Stomp at the Orpheum Theater in NYC, which is at 126 Second Ave. We're coming into Penn Station from New Jersey and I'm trying to figure out the best way to get to the theater. I'm used to going into the Times Square area, but I'm not familiar with this area of NYC.
Is this too far to walk from Penn Station? Is it better to take the subway, or even a taxi?

That would be a long walk. Taxi will take longer than the subway. I'd take the subway.

Take the N /R to Union Square and you can walk from there

I agree. from Penn you walk one block to Herald Square, take the N or the R to Union Square. that's at 14th streetand 4th ave. the theater is on 2nd at 8th street/st mark's place. not a long walk at all.
