Ok - we have done Disney the past two years for the week between Christmas and New years so we know crowds. This year we will likely do Mon -Sat and I am considering Universal. We will stay on site so I would love some info on the fotl pass at that time as well as any holiday shows etc. If there are any links to hotel info or websites with info on that and dining etc. I would be grateful.

Sorry but I have only been to Universal once about 7 years ago :(

Party will be myself and my dd's ages 14 and 12 who love coasters :)

Right now I am looking at the HRH with the 2 7 day tickets and I am a lowes member.

TIA -
TJ

It's a good thing you are going to stay onsite...that is the busiest time of the year here for all the parks. Having unlimited Express access will definately help the wait times but it will still be probably 30 mins or so. You will find the parks will be wall to wall people and waiting to eat or even use the bathroom will be an adventure. During Christmas week, Universal has the Macy's parade with the huge balloons and IOA has Grinchmas...the schedule hasn't been released yet but you'll have plenty of information before you go so not to worry.

We do a different park each year for NYE.The days just before and after are not nearly as bad but still very crowded. They are nothing like Magic Kingdom or Epcot crowds at the same time.By 2 days or more before or after we have literally walked on rides some years.

Here are the things we believe imperative if you plan on staying the whole day.

1.Dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes and include good rain gear if there is any chance of rain forecast
2.Make rez for meals ASAP and for as many meals as you can.Standing in a hour long line for fast food is no fun.
3.Take a very laid back approach, rushing around will only tire you out and make the last hours miserable.
4.Find little hidden nooks to rest and/or snack.Every park has some.
5.Cel phones or walkie-talkies help a lot if you split up for any reason.

This years NYE rotation is supposed to be MK and I am bracing myself already:scared1:.
