New Years Tips and Tricks

Hi everyone!
I have been reading threads and articles - we are WDW vets but next year we are going over New Years for lots of reasons. I thought I would ask as you all who went over NYE are probably returning - what insider tips do you all have for surviving New Years Week at WDW? And past surviving - making it extra magical? We will be there from Dec 27-1/3 (or 1/4, depending on whether I can talk my party into just 1 more day...)

We are very much rope drop/break/back for dinner people, which I think will work well. Just looking for some other fun experiences/tips!! Thanks!

On NYE it is not advisable to leave the park for dinner and try to return especially if you are planning to be at MK. The park becomes packed and at times they have actually turned people away because the park was at occupancy capacity

We're considering a similar trip. I think we'll plan to watch the NYE fireworks from outside the Magic Kingdom and also avoid New Years Day, just for the crowd factor. Then we'll enjoy the lower crowds as the week goes on.
