HI :flower: I'm planning a WDW trip Jan1st-7th, but am now thinking of arriving a day or two earlier to celebrate New Years Eve with the mouse :cool1: Which park do you think would be the best one to visit on New Years Eve? Do they all have fireworks(i know AK doesn't) and which ones are better? We really don't want to fight the mass of people sure to be at Pleasure Island, so what are your thoughts? Oh, And a dining spot suggestion would be welcomed also :wave2: TIA

We have been down there a couple of times for NYE. What has worked best with us to reserve a room at The Dolphin, request top floors facing Epcot with balcony. We ate at the Steakhouse in YC&BC, then went back to our room and watched Epcot fireworks from our room :flower:

I've been at WDW for New Years Eve 3 times.
The first was with my oldest DD in 2000-2001. We went to MK early in the day. It was really cool, but so busy you could barely move. We didn't try to go on any rides, just absorbed the atmospere. At midnight, the fireworks were all around, so it would be hard to pick one good spot to watch from.

I was with DH at YC in 2002-3. It started pouring about 6:30pm. We left the park, intending to go to our room, dy off and then come back later. We ended up eating at the hotel (can't remember where), and since it nver stopped pouring, we watched the fireworks from our porch (our room faced Epcot). We could see the MK fireworks too.

I was at BWV this past NYE with DH and another couple. We had come down to Florida to watch the New Year's day college football game, so we didn't want to get too tired. We went to Epcot, which was just wall to wall people, eraly in the day. We planned to go back to BW and just hang around for a few hours before going back into the park. We sort of set ourselves up on the porch tin front of the lobby that overlooks the Boardwalk. While we were sitting therre, a DJ started to set. We decided that since we werre comfortable, had entertainment and didn't really feel like goinng back in to wall to wall people, wee would just stay where we were. The only negative was that we were not facing in a way that we could see any fireworks. We could see the reflection of them on a window behind us, but not the actula fireworks.
