What is the best park for New Year's? What about universal?

It all depends on what you are looking for, who is in your party ie; adults only vs. with children etc. I have never done Disney for NYE, but we did Universal in 2001 and will be doing it again in a few days. Universal/CityWalk hosts a private NYE party, complete with live entertainment, food, fireworks, champagne toasts, etc. The fee this year is $109.00 pp (95.00 for annual pass holders). We had a great time on our last visit, and looking forward to this years event. We are not interested in seeing David Lee Roth, but we will enjoy the clubs, food and fireworks. This party is for adults only (21 and over), and they are rope the entire area off pretty good, so without a wristband, you can't get it in until after the fireworks display. The party starts at 8pm. Hopefully other people here will fill you in on Disney Events. Or just do a search, and you will probably get many threads about their festivities.

I think MGM is best for NYE. Great rides, night time fireworks, music and not as crowded as Epcot & MK

They are actually celebrating New Years the 30th and 31st at MK. They are doing the same thing both nights so we plan on going on the 30th.
