Best place to be at WDW on New Year's Eve - ideas?

This past NYE, we did the early MK fireworks with dessert party, then monorailed over to EPCOT for the midnight fireworks. The year before, we spent the entire day at EPCOT. I preferred the MK/EPCOT combo.

Epcot for New Year's Eve. A couple of years ago we did the NYE dinner at La Hacienda and were able to watch the fireworks from the large restaurant windows. We did MK on the 30th with the dessert party for the fireworks.

It depends also what hotel you are at. If you are in the park can you walk to your resort. Ideally that is the best way to plan your night. We stayed at Beach Club so could walk home after fireworks at Epcot. We did the crazy MK the night before and as long as you don’t care about waiting to get home on the bus, then it is a fun night.
