Hello,

Well having finally booked a hotel and read through the amazing thread about ordering APs through the post we are all set for a trip from 27th Dec - 1st Jan inclusive.

We will be there over NYE so I would love to pick the brains of anyone who has been at DLP over NYE in the last few years :goodvibes

Specifically can anyone tell me;

1. Are any of my dates very busy or very quiet in your experience?
2. Are there any evening festivities? Are these on a separate ticket?
3. Do the restaurants offer different menus to normal on NYE? With this in mind do the prices shoot up?
4. Is there anything else special going on that I should know about? I want to make this a super special trip as it will be part of my boys Christmas present. Also will Santa still be about? I thought we could visit and say thank you for their presents

oh and finally - we've never seen Dreams - is it still due to be on this winter?

Many thanks :)

We went last new years eve and are going back this year. Both parks were open past midnight. The Disneyland Park just had another showing of Dreams on (they had one on earlier in the evening too). We choose to go to the Studios ( and will again this year). In there they had a live band on a stage outside RnRC and a long firework display at midnight. Prices at most restaurants went up a lot!! However, we ate at Restaurant de Stars which increased its price only a little. There was entertainment in there & we thought it was fun. We will probably book that again this year. They also had a champagne stall out ready for midnight. We were surprised that it was not as busy as we thought it would be. The 1st was also not as busy as we feared but the 2nd was mobbed, probably the busiest I have ever seen the park (and we usually have a trip in August!!)

Edit to add: The NYE festivities were all included in the regular park ticket for the day.

I went for my 18th birthday and the morning wasn't too bad but it got noticeably busier as the day went on and exiting the park after midnight was a bit of a scrum. We just had to hold onto each other. But it was a great time to go!

I didn't find exiting the park hectic but the que for the shuttle bus was mad, 1.5 hours wait!

Thank you for all your replies - interesting about the parks being open past midnight on a "normal" ticket - I would have felt sure that it would be a special purchase for NYE so that's good to know :)

Im not sure but I know he wasn't there last year. Im sure I read somewhere he leaves xmas eve. He is still in the parade but not to meet.
