Will getting around for dinner on New Years Eve be a huge pain? Checking into BCV on the 31st and planned dinner at DTD. But now thinking taking the bus there and back might be a huge pain if there's traffic/huge crowds? If so maybe it's better just hanging out at Boardwalk area and having dinner there?

We've been there for NYE a couple of times. I don't recall any issues with the buses or otherwise getting around, but the parks will be crazy crowded!
