We arrive in Orlando on NYE day (plane arrives at 10 a.m., hope to be at our I-drive hotel by noon or shortly after).
For dinner that evening, is there any hope of getting a table as a walk-in at one of the chain restaurants? (Olive Garden, Chili's, etc.)? Will they all take reservations for NYE if I call in advance? Or should I be looking at a ticketed option (like a dinner show) to ensure we're not eating pizza in our hotel room?
Our preference would be to have dinner at one of the chains (Olive Garden is one of our beloved US favourites that we try to enjoy whenever we are south of the Canadian border
) then enjoy some mini golfing at Pirates Cove before crashing for the night (doubt we'll see the New Year in after being up that morning for a 7 am flight from Syracuse). That said, we want the night to be kind of special so we would also be willing to book the Luau at SeaWorld if a ticketed dinner is recommended.
Anyone else "been there, done that" and have words of wisdom to share?
Note we will not have a car, but we will have week-long trolley passes so we'd like to stay in the International Drive area.
