I know this sort of thread has been done a million times but help me please! My brother (25) and his girlfriend are in Orlando for NYE and are wondering where is best to go. They know they'll have to be in pretty early but are happy to go with that. Any ideas? recommendatrions? They seem interested in mgm and epcot. Also anyone been to sea world or universal?
Thanks in advance. :thumbsup2

Hi,
World Showcase in EPCOT is our favourite, going from country to country as they celebrate the New Year.

Mick.

:smooth:

We will be spending NYE relaxing poolside (weather permitting), doing a bit of shopping (credit card permitting) and spending the evening at the Disney Spirit of Aloha Show at the Poly after which we will wander onto the beach and watch the Magic Kingdom midnight fireworks before heading back to the villa and avoiding all the crowds trying to exit the parks at the same time.

Hope it all goes to plan!

I LOVE CityWalk for New Years Eve. I am heading there for my 3rd time this year. :cool1:
It is a bit on the expensive side, but worth it. It is $109. It includes a free buffet with great food, hats etc and a champagne toast at midnight. There is also a stage which has some fairly big names playing sometimes. You can add an extra $60 to the price and become a VIP. This gives you access to VIP only rooms with all free drinks. :woohoo:

We spent last NYE in MK and plan on doing the same this year. It was a very long day and absolutely manic but well worth it. The atmosphere was amazing :thumbsup2

I remember seeing this topic some time ago...the consensus then was that for adults, Universal is the way to go. If it's just the 2 of them...I'd agree.

I'm going for EPCOT - even managed to get an ADR for Le Cellier.

I was thinking about the other parks as well but decided on ECPOT for atmosphere and all the different countries. MK run their NYE fireworks on 30 Dec as well so it might be worth checking this out on that night as well....I plan to! :cool1:

I've only been to Epcot for New Year's Eve, but it was great fun. They have live music and discos all over the place. It does get incredibly packed, but you just go with the flow and enjoy the day (and night).

We are having dinner at the Yacht Club Galley and planning to be in Epcot for 7pm (if we can get in)

It's an interesting one...I'm wondering whether to take a wander over to MGM during the day to take a break from EPCOT - my worry is of course getting back in. I think I'll give it a go depending on how it is on the day. I think our chances are much better than if it was MK......

maleficent_man, we too have an ADR at Le Cellier and will be in the UK area for 7pm :teeth:

Claire ;)

We to will be in the Uk area at 7pm. We also have an ADR for 7.30pm at the Rose and Crown and hopefully a good spot for the 7.30 fireworks.
