New Years Eve

Has anyone been on New Years Eve, We're trying to plan ahead and make dinner ressie inside the park, but not sure which park is the best for New Years eve. THanks

It is packed but you really feel the magic,we have been twice and both times we had a great time.We made our ADR'S for CP around 5:00.Then we snacked some later in the evening.

We have been to wdw for 2 NYE's. First thing we decided was to avoid MK. It is usually closed to all guests(including resort guests) by 10am. If you do decide to go there, plan on getting there early and staying! You should not try to park hop because you will not be readmitted if they are at max capacity..even if you have ADR. 2003-4 we started at MGM and then went to epcot around 4:30pm. It was fine at MGM and we toured well with FP. Epcot was crazy crowded, but fun. They gave out hats and noise makers around 6pm and we had PS at Teppanyaki for 7:30pm. There were outdoor music venues and then it started to rain..pour. But it was fun. 2004-5, We started and stayed at MGM. They had live bands and radio disney inpm. We had PS at Brown Derby and then did Fantasmic. Around 11:30pm we took boat back to Swan and watched Fireworks at MGM (Fantasy in the Sky) from our room on 11 th floor. Then we saw some on Epcot fireworks from the dock at swan/dolphin. It was nice being back at resort before the corwds and still have a chance to see the great fireworks. I think you can still plan to park hop to Epcot as it is such a big park. If you want MK..make sure to make your ADR's asap.

I just wanted to second the importance of trying to get a ressie ASAP; I've had trouble getting what I want for New Year's Day already, and NYE is way busier!

If you are all old enough to drink, definetly do Epcot. Get there early, because it will close around noon probably. I think Epcot is better because it is more open, making it feel that little less crowded.

We are also going at this time. I have been watching room rates that I didn't think about ADR. Thanks for the heads up!

We stayed at EPCOT the entire day when we went. It was a blast, but when they started to hand out hats and noisemakers, it got kinda crazy and we left WS and went to FW where it was practically empty! My dd was just at elbow height and she kept getting hit in the head at WS. The fireworks were great...Illuminations but with a special salute to each country. We took our time leaving and even rode SE on the way out. I think we made it to the bus by 1:30 am.
