DH and I will be staying in! We will go out for an early dinner, then watch some of the celebration on TV. I am looking forward to seeing Dick Clarke this year!

DH has to work on New Year's Day, so I will take down the Christmas Decorations and watch the Mummer's Day Parade! :)

Dh and I are going to his families house to play poker. Then on New Years day I'm going to visit my parents.

Planning on just staying home with the kids.. They are with their dad.. supposed to be with him until Monday but he has to work so he asked if he can bring them home on Sunday.. which is fine with me cause then I can ring in the new year with them.. :earboy2: Just planning on cooking a nice dinner on Sunday and watching the celebrations on tv.. I dont like to go out on the roads because of all the drunk drivers..

We're headed to Newport, RI, where we've reserved a table in one of their many Irish pubs for New Year's Eve. :)

Daxx's Wife Here! We're going skiing in the morning and will prob. come home around 4 pm. We'll get some Chinese take-out and watch movies for the rest of the night. We usually conk out before midnight!!!

Hope everyone has a fun, safe New Year's Eve!

We go to a friends house for a house party. We all have little kids so we can bring them and they can play together. :wave2:

A co-worker of mine is getting married at the Columbus Zoo. So, before the wedding (since they are only having appetizers) we, the other co-workers and boss are going to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. Then off to the 6:30 wedding at a cold zoo.
Will probably leave early to get home to the kids and celebrate with them.

:confused3 dd12 ususally has a new years eve slumber party but this year everyone is busy .....so she's stuck with her mom and dad....we are trying to think of something fun and exciting....?? besides playing games, movies, snacks? :rotfl2: so i guess were not sure what were doin?

:sad1: Nothing.

DH and I will probably drag out a board game or two and try to have fun with DD. DS still isn't sure what he's doing, so we'll probably have to play taxi for him.

Well, since my IVF failed, I'm going to eat my weight in shrimp and drink my weight in champagne. In between all that, I'll be in my pajamas on my couch watching The Twilight Zone Marathon. It's been my tradition for 11 years and it's my favorite day of the year!

DH and I are going to a lovely little French restaurant for a seven course meal. The menu looks fantastic; I have a feeling I won't need to eat again until maybe three or four days later! :rotfl2:

Work until 9pm, then join the family for Monty Python & the Holy Grail (a 15 yr tradition  ). Then we'll watch Dick Clark, open our poppers, and toast the New Year in with sparkling cider.

We never do anything on NYE-too many drunks out on the road and I much prefer staying in and watching the celebrations on TV... DH and I are usually asleep by 10:30 anyway with 2 little girls that enjoy waking up every morning at 4:30am! :rotfl:

Carla, sorry to hear about your IVF. That really stinks! I was in similar shoes 7 years ago, and January was a magic month for me! Best wishes for the new year.

We are staying in, and I don't really have any plans. We were invited to a small party where we could bring the kids, but DH really doesn't want to go anywhere. So maybe I will prepare an elaborate munchies spread, get a couple of bottles of wine, and eat until I throw up.

Looks like we will be gatting snow and ice NYE, so DH will be out plowing. I guess I'll pick up some books to read, and try to stay up :)

We are going out with a group of friends early afternoon to a restaurant on the bay. Then DH plans to be in front of the TV watching the Giants game! Early night for us as we are going to see The Lion King on New Years Day, so we passed on a couple of invitations to go out.

Inviting BIL and his family over to play board games with us. We have 3 kids and they have 3 kids, so it's going to be pretty loud.

Thank you, Denae.....I'm jumping right back in so hopefully January/February will be the month for me. Maybe I was just meant to have one final shrimp-laden, champagne-drinking NYE! :teeth:

I usually felt like a big loser for staying in on NYE - now I feel normal! :goodvibes

DD and I are going to go over to my parents to play games, eat and watch Dick Clark bring in the New Year.
