we're keeping it kind of low key. I'm invited to a friend's house, she always makes a dinner party, very laid back and casual. each of my dd's has been invited to a sleepover at a friend's house, maybe a handful of girls at each house.

what's eveyrone else doing?

I'll just be at home. DH is probably going to a friend's house. We have a 7 month old DD. I may stay awake to welcome in the new year, I may not.

Every year we drive from NYC to North Carolina to see my Dad, sister and nephew who live there. New Years eve is really special to us as it was the night my parents met in 1940 and their first date.

We're doing the same thing we did last year - had our good friends over, put out a "junk food buffet" and played games.

See my thread about becoming a lush. I guess that's our New Years plans this year. :)

We take turns deciding, because I'm more of a find a party type and he's more of a quiet evening at home type. It's his year.

Going to the Jets game and then probably to Manhattan for the ball dropping. But not positive about the second part. The Jets tickets are inhand though. And the ironic part is that one of my friends from home in Florida are going to the Jets vs Dolphins game today. And then I'll be going on New Year's Eve to root against them against the Raiders...kinda sad but atleast I don't hate Oakland hehe.

It's my holiday to work this year. I have to do both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

So nothing exciting here.

We will be at Epcot :) Usually do not alot but this year decided to do something different :nana:

Claire ;)

DH and I stay home. We usually have Lobsters, Steamers, etc. I was actually discussinghe this over dinner today. luckily isn't working new years eve...so he can go nice and early to the fish market. NYE is their busiest day of the year. I have found I have no lines, etc if I go very early in the am. This year, we'll probably have an early NYE w/DS. I usually can't stay up late anyways..and being pregnant this year, no way I'll be up...unless I happen to be up using the potty at that particular time.

We are staying home and having snacks though I haven't decided what yet.
We usually watch movies or something. Nothing major.

We've been married 19 years and have never been out on New Year's Eve. I guess I'm boring.

Going to a friends house then a few of my friends are sleeping over. :)

We have tickets to the Monarchs game that night (AHL hockey). They play and then following the game they put on a fireworks show in the arena. It's certainly not Disney, but it's a decent show, and huge for an indoor display.

No partying for me this year. I'll be balancing a romance novel on my belly with one hand and drinking a chocolate malt with the other hand.

We will be at WDW, but we are avoiding the parks. We will do the Spirit of Aloha at the Poly for New Years Eve.

I'm so happy (and unfortunatlly, for some reason the smilies aren't working for me so I can't use the dancing bananna smilie, something with the update??), this is the FIRST year my dh and I are doing something 'fancy' on New Years Eve.

The club to which my dh belongs to is hosting a BIG NYE formal dance at a fancy hotel near Detroit. I already bought me a pretty red dress, and we are waiting for DH's suit to come back from the cleaners. :)

We'll be there too! :) I'd say we'd see you there... but it'd be a miracle if we'll see anyone specific in that crowd!!

Dinner party at my DSIL's. We do it every year with the same group of folks...fun, casual, easy night.

My boyfriend and I are just hanging out at home. Not at all exciting but perfect for us.

We are going to stay home, play board games, watch a movie, and pig out on junk food.

I don't like to be driving around on NYE, so unless we have someplace to spend the whole night we stay home.

On New Year's Day, we'll take down the Christmas tree and decorations.
