I'm looking for suggestions for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day dinners.

We will most likely be a group of four adults and two children.

Anything special you have enjoyed?

It depends if you are thinking of a park or not. We have been for the last 4 xmas weeks and for 3 NYEs. We have avoided MK because it is crazy and you must get there early and plan to stay on NYE day(it closed around 10am to all guests (including resort guest) the two times we were there(as a resort guest you are guaranteed entrance to A park..if park hits max capacity they must close to all until some crowds clear athen they can re-admit). You must make ADR at first chance 180 days and you will be asked for cc and you can cancel 48hrs before. we had dinner at epcot Teppanyaki one year got there around 4pm from morning at MGM..very crowded, but fun. Next year we stayed at MGM all day and had dinner at BD. Both times it was 2 adults and 2 teens. You can plan to park hop between epcot and mgm, but don't plan on park hoppin to MK. Swan and Dolphin also have a dinner and party package if you don't want to be in a park at midnight. You can watch the fireworks at epcot from the dock at S&D.
hope this helps.

Thanks this does help. We are thinking of possibly making this day our non-park day or at least non-MK day.

Do most TS restraurants have a special menu those days?

We are going to make ressies at 180 days out so that we can hopefully get what we want. When we decide what this is of course.

Thanks for your help.

You could do dinner at the California Grille on top of the Contemporary Resort. I tried one year to make reservations for there for New Years Eve. They had reservations available but I had to decline when I was told that it was $500.00 per person. :scared1: Maybe next time! :lmao:

A DISser did that party a few years back and raved about it.

We've been at WDW twice for NYE and both times did the Hoop. We wanted something fun but not in the parks. We were staying at the Polynesian one trip and GF the other so both times we just returned to our hotel.

Will you be at AKV or BCV for NYE?

Some restaurants do have special menus for NYE but most don't. Narcoossee's had two seatings last year. The second seating included a toast I think.

NY Day is like any other busy day.
