Hello everyone! We're going to be in Disney for New Year's Eve this year and are wondering what to do!! Our group consists of 5 adults and 6 kids (11yo, 2 7yo, 2 5yo, and a 2yo) Any ideas on where to hang out for midnight?? Thanks so much!

62 days til take off :woohoo:

We found that the best view of the fireworks at midnight (if you are not in one of the theme parks) is the Polynesian Resort at the waters edge. You can sit on one of the lounge chairs that they have outside and you do not have to stay at this resort to see the show.

Never been in that time of the year, but a friend told me that MK is the best place to be, fireworks, party and lots of fun!:wizard:

NYE can be a very hectic night especially with small children. The best bet is the beach at the Poly Resort.

Do they "Do?" anything on the beach? Or do people just gather to hang out and watch the fireworks...in all our trips I've actually never been to the Poly! (We're doing the luau this trip :goodvibes) so I don't even really know what the beach is like there...

I agree with you!! We do this when we stay at WL or FW.

Hey, I'm a CJ also!
My husband and I went over NYE once, and we went to EPCOT. It was FANTASTIC. There was so much to see and do, and it was so worth any of the hassles. Something to keep in mind, though. It was rainy and record cold, and I got sick that night. Even if you bring coats, check the weather and see if you need scarves/hats also. You don't want to spend the rest of your vacation taking sinus infection meds like i did! But I would do it again in a second. :)

No the Poly doesn't do anything special on the beach. People just gather and watch the fireworks. Wear warm clothing because you never know about the weather.
