we are debating where to be on New Years Eve, we were toying with the idea of Epcot, but with having to be there first thing I think it would be a very lonnnnnnnnnng tiring day and although dd is 11 she gets very wingey when tired. So I did wonder about what hotels did etc. We are staying at the quality suites universal, so I thought we could wander on ID then go back to the hotel and go back for the free cocktails. what do you lot think?

If I was in Orlando for NYE, I think I would want to do something a bit more exciting than cocktails at the hotel. As I've never been there, I haven't really looked into what's on offer. I know Pleasure Island has an event (even thought they have their 'New Year's Eve' every night, I think they still have a special event for the real thing), and I'm guessing that there are probably special fireworks at MK, MGM and Epcot. I'm sure I've read that Universal and Sea World also have special events which are much more manageable in terms of crowds.

I go to Pleasure Island on NYE, and to be honest its not really a kiddie zone.

Seaworld have a an event on which would be more suited. Look on the website it may give more info.

Last year our 'neighbours' did seaworld with their 2 kids and loved it.
