New Year's Eve ADR Recommendations

We will be at WDW over the New Year on an upcoming trip. Can anyone recommend a good place for dinner on New Year's Eve, and please tell me why you suggest that particular restaurant? It will just be our immediate family, all over 21, but we are not big drinkers. Just would like a fun/special dinner. Thanks!

It really depends on where you want to be for NYE. We have been for the last 4 NYEs and have avoided MK because it has closed to all guests(including resort) by 10am and it is wall to wall. We ate once at BD in DHS and it was great; also Japan once year to end day at epcot;last year we chose to tour DHS during the day and had adr at Kouzzina for 9pm and then watched fireworks from DHS and epcot from BW area loved it!(we stayed at dolphine for NYE after 4 nights at OKW). You need to pick where you want to be and then not plan on park hopping(but we were able to park hop from DHS to epcot at around 4pm-it depends on the crowd and your timing). You will not be allowed into a prak at max capacity even if you have an adr, so plan accordingly.

We had decided to go to Hollywood Studios for the fireworks last NYE. We had no problem getting into the park around 4pm. Obviously, we couldn't ride any headliners at that point--they were FPed out until past midnight.

We had 8pm dinner reservations at SciFi and it was nice--it got us off the crazy crowded street (with the annoying noisemakers!!). After we did Osborne Lights and then those who were returning to the resort did so. The rest of us plopped down and waited for fireworks.
