Is this gown too dressy for formal night?

dsp_img_0996.jpg

I like this one! :thumbsup2

Very classy, very dressy.

You are welcome to vent, you know that...

Like it was already said, Chad's comment was a knee JERK reaction to a mood that he probably didn't understand was really hurtful.

I've got lots to share...gotta wait til after work to start tho :(

I'll be back on tonight Magic Mateys,

TTFN.

coll.

Good Morning Mateys....everyone still with us??? Nan~ hope Mom is doing a bit better.....and that you're taking some time each day to 'take care of you' too!!!

Good morning!
I'm feeling better, and all is well.:)

Jesse wasn't feeling well yesterday, and he slept from 6 pm to 6:30 AM, straight through! He must have needed that good rest, as he woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed!

Nan, that's funny about Paul hemming and hawing about the cruise. I have a feeling us girls are going to be kissing each other at midnight on NYE! No hubbies! Well, we still have Jeff and Richard, and Grim, and Cal, and Russ...ok, I see we have enough men to share!:rotfl: Just kidding!

I'm finally putting up my autumn/Halloween decoration. I've been waiting for it to feel like fall, and today it sure does.

I'd better get to it, so I'll wish you all a good day, and I'll BBL!

Glad you're feeling better....and Jesse too!!! hummmm.....those might be some happy men with all the women kissing them at midnite!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

Have fun decorating....i haven't thought about it yet....will need to wait till next weekend since i'll be at DL all this weekend.......:cool1: :woohoo:

Got my fall decorations up over the weekend, they look good, just makes me shiver thinking of the cold weather that will soon be upon us and the next thing - :santa:

Nan - hope all is well with your mom, still keeping her and you in our prayers:)

Have a fabulous trip, Brenda! :thumbsup2 Tell West Coast Mickey I'll see him in just over 10 months time!!! :woohoo:

I've now booked our flights to LAX for next August - got a really sweet deal as we were able to use our accumulated airmiles so Richard and I fly for free! :cool1: We're paying full price for Samuel but at least he'll be able to start collecting miles of his own... ;) Just put a room request in with DVC for the 3 of us at either the Disneyland Hotel or the Grand Californian - if we get that sorted with our DVC points, the vacation costs will be kept sooo low and we can splurge on a couple of tours! :woohoo: If you wonder why I'm sharing this with you guys, unfortunately the Mexican Riviera cruise thread isn't very exciting so no real connection there as yet... :sad2:

Glad you're feeling better, Aisling! I shall have to keep Richard informed of all the NYE action he could be seeing - there's no way he'd bail knowing that he's gonna get to kiss/be kissed by so many ladies!!! :love1: :love1: :love1:

Your trip next august sounds lovely Karen...

I plan on going back to cali but believe it'll be 2009 before I hey there.

Work has been busy, as expected. Cross your fingers for me, I am loading my pictures from this past weekend and am hoping my connection stays strong til I am done.

Wow Kaz, free air to LAX! That's great!
And Brenda is going to DL!
And Tig is going back to WDW in a few months!
Lucky girls!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to get tickets to see Tom Jones in Atlantic City for my birthday in November. I didn't check prices yet, but if they're over $100, oh well, Tom's not worth it.:rotfl:

This is so funny. I'm sitting in the car next to the park, and there are a bunch of elderly Chinese people doing Tai Chi. I've seen them before in the morning after I drop Jesse off at school. A few years ago I wanted to sign up for Tai Chi classes, but now I see I can do it for free! I'm sure they'd teach me and let me join in every morning!

And one more cool thing. A few years ago my family bought me a violin because it's always been a dream to learn how to play, but I never did. Now I find out that Jesse's new little girlfriend has been playing violin since she was a young child and teaches! So guess who's going to finally get violin lessons, and for free! I'll pay her something of course, but she swears she won't take any money from me!

Nan, I got your message. I accidently left my cell phone in the car, so I didn't see the message until this morning! I was SO happy you sounded cheerful.

WOW Aisling....then those two things were TOTALLY meant to be!!!! That is really SOOOO awesome they are just falling into your lap!!!!

So....Ryan has a new GF too...her name is Jessica - and what a nice cute AND polite girl she is. She came over and introduced herself to us at the football game Friday night....they are ALWAYS on the phone....good thing she has Verizon too!!!

Ooh sounds good, Aisling! :thumbsup2 I've always liked the idea of Tai Chi but have yet to find anywhere local to me that teaches it...

Good luck with that too... :goodvibes

Okay....gotta share this with all of you....I have been scrapbooking "traditionally" for about 10 years....now CM offered "Storybooks" that are done digitally about a year ago & i made a couple of those....but they're not the same as my "family albums".....SOOOOOOO they have just recently introduced a new form of digital scrapbooking with some awesome new software. Once i upload & 'fix' all my photos...i send them to the new software, import different 'digital' paper packs do EVERYTHING on the computer...the paper, the photo placement - size etc. EVEN all the journaling!!! Once done with a page or pages - upload them to Costco and go pick them up in about an hour for 2.99 page!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: soooooooo i have lots and lots of photos already printed which i will / should continue to scrapbook traditionally BUT beginning with August (or whatever photos i haven't printed yet)...those are al going to be done digitally!!!!! This IS SOOOO cool i just had to share!!!!!

That sounds really cool, Brenda! I'd love to get into scrapbooking but I'm just sooo disorganised! :( This digital format sounds really interesting as I'm quite creative but TBH I need something/someone to point me in the right direction... ;)

I need to share too as I'm buzzing at the moment - DVC have just confirmed my August 2008 ressie at the Disneyland Hotel!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

And only 2 sleeps till WDW - does life get much better? I don't think so...

hmmmm, okay you got me interested more details....can you email me a link, or is this not yet released to the public? Also, how is the journalling done, I figure in typing not hand writing huh? I actually detest my handwriting, but I know the value of seeing mama's hand on the kiddos books....that said I don't journal but a tiny bit here and there.

Brenda, I'm also very interested in this. I've read lots about digital scrapbooking, but never did it. Can you tell me where to get the software to get stated? Does CM sell it? If I buy it throgh you, do you get a commission? :thumbsup2 I have a couple of Costcos near me, so that would be great. Are the books hardcover? I'd love to get stated on some Christmas gifts of this type.

Kaz, congratulations on your DVC ressie! My kids and I are dying for a Disney trip, but we don't have the time or the money right now. I'm having my basement tiled, and we decided to go with the good stuff, so there's one Disney trip eliminated. But the new floor will be worth it. A

Also, I've been putting off Jesse's deviated septum surgery, because I was told by a couple of doctors to wait until he's at least 17 for his facial bones to stop growing, but we can't wait anymore because he has difficulty breathing. The septum mialignment is also causing a big bump on his nose, and he's becoming self-conscious about it. SO, I called Dr. Diamond in Cali, one of the Dr. 90210 docs, and he referred me to a guy here in manhattan who does good work. The issue is that my insurance will pay for the septum, but not the bump, so it's going to be about $5000 out of pocket. There's another Disney trip eliminated, but this is an absolute necessity. I'm taking him out of school early today to see this guy, and I'm praying he can do the surgery over Christmas break, so that Jesse has time at home to recover for 10 days.

Brenda, I'm glad to hear that Jessica is a sweet, polite young lady. Jesse's Gabbie is also a good girl, even with her purple streaks in her hair! She a Converse sneaker model, and so they have something in common, as Jesse has done some modeling, too. She's Egyptian/Australian, just moved here 5 years ago, and Jesse likes to aggrivate her with the "put the shrimp on the barbie" talk. It's cute. Imagine if these two married and had kids, their kids would be Egyptian, Australian, Turkish, Norwegian, Spanish, and Filipino! What a mix! But I'm sure he's going to have tons of girlfriends before marriage; I don't want him getting serious with any girl at age 15/16!

I was "feeling Mel out" about the cruise last night. I said to him that I decided we're not staying at the Grand Floridian before the cruise to save money, and he said "I know, we're staying at Pop." So that's a good sign that he's still on board!

I'm running into the park now to meet with my new Chinese friends and do some Tai Chi! And then off to the hair salon...I'm having a REALLY BAD hair day! I just don't know how to style my hair, since I've always just washed and blown straight. Can't do that anymore with these layers. After washing my hair last night, I have a head full of fluff! Not very attractive! I go to a place (Chinese again!), that does hair for $10 WITH a head/back massage!

Tiggie, I looked at your pics, and I'm wondering what's with the cute little dolly??? I was so happy to see you SMILING in your pics...you looked like you had a fabulous time!!!

BBL!

okay i'm emailing Nan & Aisling the info with links etc. to purchase the software. Karen...I would also LOVE to help you get organized & start scrapbooking. I think with the "POND" between us, your best bet is to definitely START with the digital...all you need is your computer & two software programs...1) the Mem Mgr 2.0 which is the photo storage & editing software and 2) the new program Storybook Creator Plus. These are both exclusive CM products. With the Creator Plus you can make 'hardbound' books OR you can just have the 12 x 12 pages printed at Costco or CM Photo and then when you pick them up - you just adhere them to the pages that CM has in our regular scrapbooks. Nan - yes you do journal on the computer BUT i think you could also add hand journaling to the pages when you get them back as well. This also allows you to have the pages all done digitally and to still be able to include memorabilia etc. in the album.

Kaz~VERY cool on your ressies!!! I wish we were staying the DL resort this wkend...but i didn't make the ressies....so we're staying across the street....

YOWSERS!!!! that is a whole trip...but you know Jesse is such a handsome boy....already...don't want this 'bump' to ruin that!

Look how handsome our boys are with the asian/caucasian mix!!!:thumbsup2

Tiggie, I looked at your pics, and I'm wondering what's with the cute little dolly??? I was so happy to see you SMILING in your pics...you looked like you had a fabulous time!!! Isn't that "BOO" from Monsters Inc she's holding? ?????:confused3
BBL!

better get to work now...came in late today 6:30 - which is late for me anyway~:lmao:

I took boo with me since I knew I would be doing a lot of the weekend by myself. I had seen other trip reporters do the same. I even ran into a couple in Canada at epcot posing their stuffed Canadian bear for pictures. She went everywhere with me last weekend. Rose spent a lot of the weekend at the espn club.

I too am interested in the layout program, I have a good photoshop program for editing thanks to mom. I am also curious how being a cm consultant works. Does it promote any income for you or is it more like a hobby?

i make enough just from CM to pay for those Disney cruises as well as some of my other 'shopping habits'....and could really make a lot more if i was working 'it' more. I only do the one 12-hour workshop 9 mos a year & 3 months a year i have those wkend events.....IF i was doing shows or classes on a regular basis it would bring in a LOT more income...something that i totally plan to do once i retire from the frzn food business. I'll PM you the other info...
