The Med cruises sounded fantastic - I'm not too sure how they managed to pass me by considering we live in the UK, but there you are... I will definitely be booking next time the Magic shows up in Europe... :goodvibes

Welcome home, Tiffany! :thumbsup2 Which resort did you buy - Saratoga Springs or Animal Kingdom Villas?

Wow - Celinda - WHAT an awesome plan!!!! Sounds like you have it all wrapped up perfectly!!!!:woohoo:
Looking forward to meeting you all!!!

ssr and ty so much im excited

Brilliant news! :goodvibes I'm visiting SSR for the first time in December with my youngest DS. It's a surprise trip for him and I'm finding it very tough to keep my mouth shut at the moment as we're discussing this NYE cruise so much...

ya we will be going next year after the cruise
my fionce didnt want the animals and thought it was to far from othger parksand stuff

Jade, congratulations on signing on with DVC. I wish you many happy years of Disney fun!:goodvibes

Celinda, I love it that you're such a planner, as many of us here are! Happy birthday to you and to Jessica! And don't worry about turning 40...as a few of us girls here are in our 40s, and we all agree it's a great time of life. I think it's so cute that #1 on your plan is "start diet after turning 40". Of course you have to wait until after your birthday, so at least you can have a piece of your own birthday cake! What state are you from?

Robin, (or should I call you Donald!:rotfl: )I'm so glad to see you posting!

And Debbie, I was about to PM you...I thought you and Jeff snuck off together on the Med cruise:love: , since you haven't been around!

Brenda, I thought of you today. I was driving from North Dakota to Minneapolis, and on the highway I passed the huge Creative Memories plant! I didn't know it was in Minnesota! Right now, Jesse and I, as well as my sis and her 4 year old daughter, are in Grand Lodge & Water Park of America, the resort with the built-in water park. It's right across the highway from the Mall of America, and tomorrow we'll be doing the Mall before our flight home to NY. We leave at 7:30 PM, so that'll give us a whole day there, and with the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport right next door, it's all perfectly convenient!

Tig and Nan, I think I'll forever be remembered by you two every time you see a rat!:rotfl:

Oh yeah - St Cloud!!! It's an awesome plant - took the manufacturing tour about 8 years ago & it was all hi-tech then - can only imagine what's it like today!!
i LOVE the Mall of America!!!!! Have been MANY times....usually fly into Minneapolis when i visit my family in Iowa...only about a 3.5-4 hr drive to them - so always leave some shopping time - love the NO TAX on clothes:thumbsup2 Also my friend who is going to NY with me is from Iowa, so she will be driving up from there to MSP & we fly together to LaGuardia....how is the traffic there with the collapsed bridge...our flt out of MSP is at 12:15ish...so was wondering how that all might affect her drive...

And i guess you guys need to fill us in on the whole rat thing.....:confused3

Not sure if any of you have been watching the news, but Findlay, Ohio, where my business is located (local CPA firm) has been in the headlines due to some major flooding. My office is located about 5 blocks from the river that runs through the county, and yesterday I could not even get to my office without wading through water over my knees. Lucky for me, all the water we got was about 3 1/2 feet in our crawl space, but I spent most of the morning yesterday putting up all our computers and papers so if the water came in, it wouldn't ruin the thousands of dollars of computer equipment. I have 2 employees though that have not been so lucky, one has over 5 feet of water in her house - probably will lose everything, the other had her over 7 feet in her basement, the stairs actually floated away - but did not reach any of her living space. Keep them in your prayers please!! I am back in the office today, and we are just trying to get it all back together. I am lucky, some other folks in town and those closer to the river are not.

Sending  and pixiedust: your way! We've had a summer of terrible flooding in middle England and I know that quite a few families lost pretty much everything... :sad2:

:wizard:  :shamrock: :boat: :umbrella:

Sending prayers, hugs, luck and a boat or umbrella or two~

:worried:

I count my blessings every day for the small miracles we have in our life here...stay safe out there~

Aisling, sounds like a wonderful trip...miss you

Actually, I miss being on the DIS as much as I like...

one of the main things I am looking forward to, is being able to just take all my time and give it to my family and friends instead of work for awhile~

Have certainly heard of the flooding / bad weather...wishing you all the very best.....how horrible to go thru all of this.....

send some pixie dust to CA too if you could.

This morning my mom fell just outside the doors at the check in desk.

Fortunately it wasn't a terrible fall, she has a bit of pain when she laughs and breathes deeply. We are going to see the doctor in the morning (she wasn't in today) and have to talk about a walker or cane to keep mom steady.

Tomorrow is her 80th bday. Saturday is the big suprise party, we have 55 rsvps so far. expecting another 5 or so.

Molly and I are on our own tonight, the boys went to the go-kart track. We're off to grab some dinner then a quite night at home.

check back later,

Nan

so...what didja buy us in HK?

SOmething Princessy I bet :scratchin

I saw someone asked about Aisling and the Rat reference...

a little back story...

Last cruise, the Ladies and I, came up with the idea of doing a swap...sort of...Nan got these really cool Disney Cruise Line lunch boxes off ebay and all of us crusiers put together a little something from where we are from in these boxes. (I gathered all the stuff and handed out the boxes the first afternoon.)

We all talked about what we were adding to the boxes. Grim and Ded sent cactus jelly, our Nebraska cruiser added team stuff from the Huskers, we all even got mini scrapbooks, Aisling gave us rats!

a little more back story...

I believe it was Nan that associated New York City with Rats. So Aisling sent me rubber squeeky rats to put in the boxes and made me promise not to tell what she added. Chad and Jesse even contributed, Pop Rocks and Disney bubbles :)

They all got a laugh out of the squeeky toys when we opened the boxes. My Brittany still has hers, prominently displayed on her dresser in her room.
