New Year's Day

We have seen all the posts on how crowded it is on NY Eve. Is it better on New Year's Day? We are arriving on NYE and thinking of not going to the park, but trying it NY Day morning. Anyone have any info on that? ALso, since this year NY Day is a Saturday, not sure what impact that will have. Any advice appreciated.

With NY Day on a Saturday, there will be a huge impact, because people won't really start leaving until Jan 2. Jan 3 is the "official" NY Day holiday, so that will also keep people here longer.

The crowds will probably not start appearing until the afternoon, though, since people tend to sleep in on NYD. However, you can expect MK to close at capacity before noon.
