Bought the kiddo's passes for Christmas and they are dying to go. I'm sure the New Years time is crazy but thought I would ask what your experiences during the New Years time....eve, day and farther into the week. Thanks in advance for your words of wisdom!:thanks:

Since many kids are out of school till Jan 6th , I would expect sizable crowds till the 5th

We were there last year on like the 29th and it was for sure crowded, but it was less crowded than Disney. We were at IOA and the only line that was more than 90 minutes was HP, the rest were manageable waits. We really had a lot of fun! The Grinch stuff is VERY cute!

We just left today at 8 a.m. and the traffic into Universal was backed up on I-4 and all the way in to the parking garage. On December 28, the Harry Potter portion of Islands of Adventure was closed and people were routed around it. Very crowded. We stayed at Royal Pacific and had the Express Pass, which was well worth it, still 20-30 minute waits. Loved the Macy's Parade and the Grinch live show.

I went by the park today, Universal is an absolute madhouse today. So I'd expect it to be also crazy tomorrow. All entrances to the park are solid, traffic backed up into kirkman, vineland, I-4, even around 1:30.

Just by looking at the traffic compared to last week, it's much more crowded today than it was the past few days. So if you do want to go NYE, get there EARLY. It looks like everyone decided to go to the parks for around New Years this year.

Would not be surprised if they stopped letting guests in. (Too crowded to be safe)

It's funny...I go up Kirkman Road past Universal on my way to/from work and there was no traffic this afternoon around 4pm. I guess everyone is already in the parks by then. The problem area is the corner of Kirkman and I Drive where the construction is. If you hit that area when Lockheed Martin is letting out, good luck...but that's coming from the Sand Lake Road area.
