Hi everyone

Getting ready to book a trip to DLP and hope to be there for new year and my sons birthday on 2nd Jan. I know it will be a busy time but I wondered if anyone had experienced this time and if it would be recommended. This will be our 9th visit, we have been once in October, once in June and 7 times in December but early on and through the week so its always been fairly quite.

The dates I am looking at are

Thursday 31st to Sunday 3rd
or
Tuesday 29th to Friday 1st

the first option is over the weekend which I would normally avoid but I thought as it is public holidays through the week before anyway that there would be much difference.

any advice much appreciated

Thanks

We went last year and would recommend it, a lovely way to see in the new year. The buses back to the hotel after the New Years eve fireworks was mad though, an hour queuing I think it was roughly.

We found New Years day busy but we have seen it busier before so it wasnt too bad.

We have been for the past 2 New Years Eves and are going back again next year, we love it! The parks, whilst busy, are not overly crowded. They usually put Dreams on at around 5:45, then again at midnight. We catch the 5:45 show, then head over to the Studios for the rest of the evening. There is usually a live band playing and fireworks at midnight. The Studios park is less busy than the Disneyland park. We stay off site, the trains are free from 5pm on NYE to mid day on NYD. This year we were back in our room by12:30am which I thought was great.

Thanks for your replies, good to hear from someone that's been over new year before. Not sure if to book now or hang out for another deal. Do you think the prices will go up when the current deal ends??

We haven't been there for New Year's Eve but went 1st-4th January this year and found the crowds perfectly manageable. And although 4th January was a Sunday, I felt it was the quietest day of the whole trip, possibly because schools went back on 5th.

I'm sure there'll be another deal; we got 35% off and under 12s free on the French site, and the UK site had a free half-board offer, and we didn't book until November.
