hey - not too up on the new route to WDW and of course i can't find info on it on any of the mapping sites.

i am not sure where this is and if it would be a benifit to us. we are from Philly, so we just shoot down 95 until Daytona then hit 4 and take that all the way over to WDW.

is this new route any benfit to us? if so, how should we go about getting to it?

I think the benefit you will see is that it will siphon off traffic from your route. It looks to me like those coming from a more northwesterly direction will be using the new entrance, so that will lighten up traffic on I4.

I dont see much advantage coming from your direction other than avoiding
I-4. The exit off of the new connector (forgot the number, I think its called Daniel Webster way ?) was not completed on April 2nd when we were there, you end up coming out on 192 on the west side of WDW near the Orange lake complex.
If you check the Florida turnpike website it should show it.
IIRC it is 429 ???

It eneded up costing us $5 to go from the Turnpike to 192 and ddint really save that much time over going down 27 to 192, until the connector is done I wont be trying it again.

Personally, I bypass I4 and Orlando by heading further south on 95 to the Bee Line. It costs me in tolls, but is a much less travelled route and generally there is little or no traffic to speak of.

cool - great suggestion. we might give that a try. it always seems that we hit massive trafic or construction delays on I4.

is that Bee Line marked as such or is there a route number?

I take 407, which is just a short access route to the bee line (528). I take 528 west to 417 to WDW - there are plenty of signs so you can't really get lost. I am from Allentown, PA and the total trip pulling my trailer takes about 19 hours. This may tack on an extra half hour or so, but I have white knuckled it too many times through Orlando so to me it's worth it. Tolls run somewhere around 6 bucks, but it goes by how many axles you have. You could take 528 straight until it merges with 4 south of Orlando instead of getting onto 417, but I think 417 puts me closer to FW.

We just left there today and our sitting in a hotel in Georgia. We took 535 in and out. No traffic at all it beats coming in on 192.
