The phrase is, "Don't hold your breath".

They're not going to build a 5th park any time soon. MGM and AK are not even completed yet.

Who said MK is "completed"?

I have always wondered this too. Any rumors about what it might possibly be or when they might start building another park? If you think about it, shouldn't it be about time for another disney park. Early 70's was MK, '82(?) was Epcot, 89(i think) was MGM, and 98 was AK. According to that timeline don't you think they have something up their sleeves?

Sadly, no.

Entirely different management and "times we live in".

It's not going to be for a while. Because of certain people (whom I choose not to mention) in the company, nothing really got done for quite some time. The parks were given the least attention. Because of that, Animal Kingdom was built in a half-assed manner. Beastly Kingdomme was replaced by Dinoland, which only really has one attraction that anyone cares about. There are hardly any attractions here, and the only thing that keeps people here full days are the longer shows and the train ride to Conservation Station. A lot more needs to be done here.

MGM, which was starting to grow, still needed work...but certain attractions started to deteriorate...no one did anything. Renovations were needed... None were really done. They took out attractions and left empty buildings. Then because the same very stupid man, the animation studios were closed down, leaving MGM with a couple of thrill rides and not much else to say for itself. This park is getting a serious makeover soon since John L. took over.

Both Epcot and MK were 2-Day parks when they added the new ones...until they can do the same for the newer of the quad, they don't want to begin construction on anything besides resorts and "fun zones." (such as recreation and entertainment) Because of all this, they will not be able to build a new park for at least another 10 more years if not more.

I'm not sure if any park will ever be "completed". They will always be adding things, updating things, taking other things away. They need to focus much more on MGM and AK before adding a new park.
I don't even think there is any need for a new park anyway. It would be cool, but I'd much rather see great new things at the parks we have now.

Okay, I didn't mean completed...what I meant by that is.. .. ...

Animal Kingdom and MGM are hardly full day parks and need a lot of work.

I agree.I think MGM needs a big makeover. It has 2 of the best rides at WDW,one onther one that I like and the rest I could care less about..It needs work..I love the AK and the addition of EE is great. It's still a 1/2 to 3/4 day park to me..They need a couple more attractions. Not to mention the fact that Disney itself needs to invest money in some serious work at California Adventure
