New WDW CD?

Any else wish that WDW would release a new CD/music for the 50th anniversary? We haven’t a new batch of music in years (minus a couple of songs from SWGE and FOP). I miss when Disney would release park music.

I'd be all for it, but CD sales have really taken a dive so I don't think we'll be seeing any park discs.
Also there are several places to stream park music, and there's YouTube.

You can also get a Playlist of Disney theme park music on spotify and probably other streaming services

If anything keep an eye on streaming platforms like Spotify for a 50th playlist. This is coming from a huge music geek who mourns the death of physical media and felt CD and Bluray was the optimal audio format for physical ... at least vinyl is making a comeback amongst us purists!

Fingers crossed that there may be some sort of rare 50th WDW vinyl released, but CD is nearing cassette status unfortunately

I had not thought of no Cd's due to streaming . My sister just purchased a 2021car and it didn't EVEN offer a CD player , was told that just to stream music. It's a new world.

I think that has been the case for several years. Try to find a laptop with an optical drive, there's not much to choose from.

I wonder if anyone here remembers "Walt Disney World Forever." There were automated kiosks in the parks where you could create a playlist of park music (no more than ten titles) and have a custom CD burned with your name and artwork on it, they were $20 each. There were many selections that were otherwise never released commercially. It only lasted a few years, I think the machines required too much maintenance, or maybe they just weren't the revenue stream they expected.

A collection that could be downloaded all at once would be my preference. ( since a CD is unlikely for the reasons some have listed)

I subscribed to YouTube Music so that I can create custom playlists of in-park/resort music.

But an official release would be nice.
