New Voice Prompt System ...

Anybody have any tips when using the new voice prompt system and trying to get hard ADRs ?!?!?!?

Any advice would be appreciated! Have a little princess who really wants to eat in the castle this trip.

I've only used it once, and went through slowly because there was no rush.

What I would do if it was an urgent matter of getting through...


Call and write down the questions in order.

Know your answer and as soon as they start asking say your answer slowly.

ex. If question #1 is "Have you been to Disney since 2003" You will know it's the #1 question because it's on your list. As soon as you hear "Have..." Say Yes count to 2 in your head and say Yes again.

Do this for the entire process.

Someone may have a better idea, this is just how I would do it.
 
put your phone on mute and use the #s. So when she first starts speaking press 1 (English). Then I can't remember the rest of the questions, but you don't even have to wait for her to say the whole statement if you call ahead and write down what your answers are.
 
I agree...use the # buttons. 1 for yes, 2 for no.

I know 1= Dining reservations for the first (?) question. Not sure if there is another one before it but its the "what can we help you with today" question.
 

IIRC it's would be English, reservations, no, no, yes, yes, no

The questions should be 'to continue in english, say english' (english)

Now, tell us what you want, if reservations say reservations (dunno what other choices) (reservations)

Ok, reservations.. Are you calling to make reservations for victoria and alberts (no)

Are you in the orlando area now (no)

Have you been to the WDW before (yes)

Have you been to WDW since 2003 (yes)

Have you stayed more then 5 times (no) (well I answer no, I dont know if I answered yes if they would skip the part about taking a survey or not)
 
It's all the same numbers as before. Just press the numbers on your phone rather than trying to speak your answers. I press away and get straight through.
 
I've been 5 or more times and they still mention the survey. (I mention this for the sake of research)
 
Just press the numbers it is so much easier.
 
Just called to breeze through the prompts. 1 = English or Yes. 2 = Spanish or no.

I verified that numbers still work as well and agree it's easier than saying yes or no. :teeth:
 
It so is lol!!! When I was in Disney I called to chage something and I was outside with a lot of noise and everytime I would say yes the annoying voice would say I'm sorry I didn't get that. OMG annoying so I just pushed 1 and it was all good lol.

I had no idea that the numbers would still work and when I called yesterday to find out the booking window for BBB I got a bit frustrated and just kept thinking "what am I going to do when I am in a hurry to get CRT?!?!?!"

I don't like the new voice system either. I wonder why they changed it, & when they're going to get a clue & change it back. ;)
 
Don't worry TOO much! We had a blackout this morning due to bad weather and I didnt get to call for our CRT reservation until about 7:15. There was virtually NO waiting on hold, and I got the exact time I wanted for our lunch ressie. CRT has become easier to get now that they do three meals a day and it's 2 dining credits.
 
I hate the voice prompt system! I second what someone said about muting the phone so it doesn't pick up anything from your side as you are going through the system. One time I called and my dog barked in the background and the prompt system thought I said I wanted Spanish, so I had to hang up and call back. Then the next time, it asked for my phone number so I told it 225-555-3205 and it was like, "I heard 938-286-2142, was that right?" Err... NO not one number, rofl. It was crazy and frustrating :P Good luck with your call! :D
