social services are involved - the social worker has been and seen her and the baby last friday, steph told her that she would be home on the saturday.. steph was explicitly told that if she did not return here then child protection procedures will start.
The social worker had also been to the house the day before and spoken to his mum as steph charlie and him were out. his mum when asked'when did the relationship between mark and steph resume' the answer was-it never really stopped.
our local health visitor rang me before to ask where the baby was as he has missed his check up and is due for jabs this wk, i have explained to her whats happened and she has now rang the s worker in manchester-who has now gone straight around to the house to see steph. I will get a phone call later explaining what they are doing.
well you can imagine how we are feeling, hurt, angry betrayed etc.
she has lived here for 4 months and all along she was putting herself first before the baby.
the house she was suppopsed to move into will now not happen as she has spent the rent advance money.
we have made the decision now -though it may seem harsh -that if /when she does come back here, we will have no alternative but to let social services here deal with her, we are not prepared for her to live with us again after all of this, as i know she would promise me the earth and do it all over again.she has let everyone down but mostly herself and the baby.
we have all been badly affected by all of this, my other dd aged 17 can't sleep at night, is so emotional and hates her sister!

thankyou so much for all your wishes, sorry that its not good news.

Netty sorry to hear it is not good news but now the main concern is Charlie and his welfare plus that of yourslf and your DD who is 17.

:grouphug:

Claire ;)

I'm sorry to hear it is not better news, lots of love to all your family.

I know that it is a very hard decision that you have had to make
but sometimes you are not doing her any favourors by doing everything for her . she has to stand on her own 2 feet

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Netty this wasn't the news you all expected to hear but it is positive news that Social Services are dealing with this case in the way that they are - that Charlie is their, as is yours, number 1 priority.
I can't believe how his family don't seem too concerned about this and haven't thought about calling you at any point just to say that they are safe and well and whilst they have been staying with them they been looked after.
I hope you all get the support you need as a family to overcome this traumatic and upsetting time

Sorry to hear this, I think you have made the right decision though, all the time she knows you are there ready to pick up the pieces she knows she can do what she wants as she has a safety net. Hopefully this will shock some sense into her and she will learn to make better choices.

 i agree, im sorry you havn't had better news x

so sorry to hear this, but sometimes you have to 'back off' in order for your loved ones to see sense. I hope things work out for you all in the longer term.

Sorry to hear it was not good news:hug:

Netty I am so sorry to hear this :( I hope that everything resolves itself eventually and that things with Charlie work out for the best. I'm sure with you caring for Charlie things can start toget 'back to normal' and your daughter will be able to sort herself out properly. My thoughts are with you through it all.

So sorry to hear this is dragging on. And that Steph can't see things quite straight right now. At least Social Services seems to be moving in the right direction (with Charlie's welfare in mind). Thinking of you, Netty!

Sad to hear it's not the best news but at least SS are involved, I think you're making the right decision regarding Steph and I hope your next update is a happier one
