We are going to WDW in 2 weeks! I'm so excited. I have a 3 yr old and an 8 yr old dd. I'm trying to figure out what my 3 yr old can ride @ MK ? She's very petite. Can she ride Buzz Lightyear with an adult? The Mad Tea Party? Dumbo, the Magic Carpet, Barnstromer?
I'm trying to figure out if there are height requirements for these, or if there is an adult present if it matters?
Thank you ! :cool1:

some of the rides are 40 inches and the big rides are 48 inches. My kids are about 43 inches and they still got to ride alot of the rides , we had a good time. I am sure she will get to ride quite a bit of stuff. Have a good time.

Everyride in Fantasyland i'm pretty sure...I don't know inches but i'm pretty sure she can ride buzz lightyear

She can ride all of those you mentioned and lots of others. We went last year when my ds was 2.5yo and there I was suprised at how much he could ride. In addition to the rides you mentioned we rode the carrousel, train, Aladdin's magic carpet, jungle cruise, It's a small world, and there were others he could have gone on but we ran out of time. Have fun!!!

Thanks everyone. I was a little concerned because I had friends telling me she was too young. But really, I plan on taking her back, anyway. :) My sis did assure me she would have a blast, and she's obsessed with Cinderella!
My parents always gave me a choice when I was little ,"Beach or WDW?" and I chose beach everytime. Now I regret it, a little, but I look forward to tons of trips as an adult! hehe

Aslso.. a little OT, but I mentioned to my DH that we should bring a stroller (even though she doesnt use one anymore) and the 8 year old said she's sure want to sit in one, too. I think it's babyfide, but has anyone seen any older kids in a stroller there? lol

We went last fall w/ my 3yo DS - he had a blast! There are lots of things to ride as mentioned, but also its just the magic of it all for the very little ones :) We rode Its a Small World 8 times because he just loved it - also loved walking "through" the castle, the little Pooh playground (although not the ride - it scared him - don't worry though, most kids really like it, I think). LOVED ToonTown and the People Mover ( he thinks he went on Space Mountain because of the part that rides through it - very funny when he says that!) He also loved all of the characters, shops, etc. Of course the carousel --- You'll find stuff that your dd will enjoy :)

As far as the stroller - you will definitely see bigger kids riding, especially at night because there is SO much walking and they are just exhausted. My
6 yo DS and 8 yo nephew each spent a bit of time in the strollers some evenings - we rented the big ones at the park after a few days there because both kids could fit in them. Its not that you are strolling them all around, just gives them a place to sit and rest when they get extra tired.

Have a great trip!

Me too!!! :Pinkbounc Going in 2 weeks that is.

It will be my 5 year old's 8th trip. My 21 month old's 3. Belive me, young kids can have a blast at WDW and so can their parents. :goodvibes

As far as rides go, the only things at MK with hight restriction are SM (not sure because DD won't ride it) Splash montain, 40 inchs, (she hasn't rode it yet, but wants to this trip.) Big Thunder Montain 40 inchs. DD rode it for the 1st time and loved it last trip. She can't wait to go back. Stich has a hight rest. 40 inches. along with Goofys barnstormer 40 inches.

There are a few things at each park that have hieght restrictions. Just a handful. Dino at AK is only 40 but ride it 1st before you take DD. It would scare the pants of my kid.

Anyway there is tons for her to do. You will have a great time. See you there! (except we won't know it. ;) )

You will want a stroller for the 3 year old, maybe bring your own and rent for the older child. It is normal to see older kids in the rented ones. They are pretty big. There is a lot of walking at WDW.
