New to Universal. Questions about front of the line?

We are thinking of doing Universal for 2 days... Sat3/22 and Sun 3/23 (Easter)
Not my choice of dates but am thinking of tying this trip into Vero beach stay.

I am sure this is a dumb questions but will these days be horrible for 1st timers? We are also thinking about staying on site so we can use the front of the line pass. Will we still have to wait alot with this option because of the holiday?

How does front of the line work?

The parks get packed at Easter time.
If you stay on site for one night, you can get the FOTL for the day you check in and all day on the day you check out. You just show your room key and go to the express line.
We have been there at VERY crowded times (July4) and with FOTL and getting to the parks early, we never had to wait long.

Thanks. I am not sure what we will do. My son is the one who really wants to go but I am thinking it might be best to wait until next fall.
