HI all. I feel like I know Disney inside and out, but we have decided to try Universal this year, just couldn't beat the amazing deal we got. So, I am excited and nervous to try somewhere new.

First, I can't find any information on the character meal it says Universal has. How much is it? What characters are there? Is it worth the money?

The 7 day 2 park pass, can we go to each park on one day or do we just have to stay in one park on one day?

How long do you think it will take us to see Universal. Last time I went was 16 or 17 years ago. Hubby has never been and we have 11, 8 and a 1 year old too. We love to take our time, see the shows and really look at the surroundings. Do you think 4 or 5 days is good?

Thanks in advance for your help !!!

With the 2 park 7 day pass, you can go back and forth between the parks. Universal's parks are smaller than Disney. Although you could enjoy yourself for 4-5 days, 2-3 would be plenty to see and ride everything. I would spend one day in each park and then the other day re-riding your favorites. Get your tickets now through someone who is still selling them at $99, as Universal tickets are now $159 for the 7 day.:scared1:

Even worse. Pretty sad that using my GAD one day ticket, I can upgrade to a Disney 7 day ticket for $155 before tax:confused3 If there are none of the old tickets left when I get paid next week, we may have to skip Universal.:guilty:

I know how you feel cause I needed one more for our trip this year and had to use some money I have been saving for some dental work :scared1: but figured I can build that back up quick and wouldn't miss out on the $99 deal

Don't have anything I could draw from right now, unfortunately. January is a hard month for teachers. The state pays us on 12/18 and then not again until 1/31. Hard to make the $ last even though we are paid the same amount. I will be using my tax refund and the county teaching supplement I get in June to fund my trip. If I can't get the tickets at the old price, I'll have to see if I can make a cut in my trip budget somewhere else if we really want to do US/IOA. We really enjoyed MIB, Mummy, Simpsons and Spiderman. Everything else, we could have done without. We don't give a hoot about the new WOHP everyone is waiting for.
