where can i use the meal deal extra for 23 dollars a day? is there a list of place some where? thanks thanks everyone we got rid of meal deal and i am feeling very much less stressed now all yr info helped SO MUCH
Many people don't really think the meal deal is that great of an actual deal for them. Since they can only be used in the park for counter service, and because of the hours of the parks/restaurants in the parks, It can be difficult for the average person to get their money's worth. You can usually eat a single counter service meal for $8-11 at the options available. At that rate you'd have to eat 2-3 meals at the park in order to hit the break even point.
and early hours in Oct so really youd prolly only feel like one meal while yr there.. do you know if there is a price list of other places to eat we are staying at Hard rock but dont want to spend large amount on food just simple things
we are leaving in 3 days and have decided to do the meal deal. My boys eat all the time and are completly fine eating "fast food" We sat down and figured out what all we would pay at other restraunts and this was the cheapest for us
We've done it and were really unimpressed with the quality of the food. Both Circus McGurkus and Comic Strip Cafe were kind of gross. Circus was REALLY gross. Chicken was veiny and pink in places and the jello had a thick layer of skin on it. Between that and the birds constantly coming around our table inside I was nauseous. I am not too picky and fast food is just fine. This particular meal was the worst I've ever eaten in Orlando. The good news is that Universal has many wonderful options. We just won't return to this one or limit ourselves to the meal deal again.

Teenagers seem to be the deciding factor on whether it's a good deal or not. When I was a teen, my mother used to call me the "human garbage disposal" since I would eat everything in sight.

As much as I prefer Universal to Disney, I can't disagree with your assessment of those two particular restaurants. I do believe that, overall, the counter service food is still superior in their other restaurants, but not at these two. I have only eaten at either of them once and never, ever again.
I'd agree that for most people it is not worth it. We used it once because I had some free meal deal passes and certainly being free it was well worth it!
Thought about it last trip, but it limited our choices and we'd have to have at least 3 meals to make it pay for itself and it just wasn't likely that would happen. If you could get breakfast with it as well, then it might work, but you can't.
