Hi all! I have been reading all of the old posts and getting some great information, but could really use some advice. We will be be staying in the HRH Feb 24th-28th, and have the 7 day tickets. One day we will go to a beach (any family-friendly recommendations?) But the other days we will spend in the parks and by the pool, and City Walk. My 9yo DS is a roller coaster FANATIC :woohoo: , and is tall enough this year to ride anything he wants. BUT my 12yo DS is terrified of roller coasters and does not like rides that spin. My question is...what do I do with him?:confused3 I was going to leave him here in OK with his Dad and sister, but he wants to go, so he now is booked. What are some things he can enjoy there, since I have heard there are lots of rides. Thanks for your tips!:)

There are lots of things for him. At Universal Studios he can do Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, Twister, Earthquake, Jaws, ET, Terminator, the Horror Make up Show.

At IOA he can do Spiderman, the water rides, Jurrasic Park, and the Cat in the Hat (ask them to have it not spin), Poseidan's Fury and Sinbad.

Thanks so much for the help. I think I may give him some dramamine in the mornings, too, just to help his days go better. My crazy little one will just want to do coasters over, and over, and over...:lmao: , but I want BOTH my boys to have a good time. We used to have passes to Disney for years when they were smaller, but we have never been to Universal.

I booked a package through a travel site...any chance of getting a room upgrade if we are only blue level with Loew's? Or a lower room rate if it goes down? Thanks. I am new to all of this for sure.

If you booked a package through a site, you aren't eligible for upgrades and you won't get credited for you stays to boost you up to Loews Gold. You'd have to check with the travel site about price decreases. You only get upgrades and qualifying stays if you book through Loews.

Hi its still worth handing over your Loews card at check in as some of the staff do honour it despite not booking direct, never hurts to try;) your son who doesn't like coasters may surprise you get him to try Spiderman its a great ride and can help overcome some fears but it does spin at a couple of parts as done MIB, but if not then as said theres plenty to do, and with FOTL access the parks really are a playground, also remember you can pool hop at the hotels, although most kids love the HRH pool for the underwater music and slide, there is also a spiderman buffet breakfast at IOA Thursday-Sunday your sons may enjoy:goodvibes
