Hi

We are new to pin trading, we are leaving Aug 25 and I was thinking about ordering some pins from mousepinsonline.com, has anyone ordered from here? Will the CM's trade with these pins? My kids are 6 & 3, how many should I start out with? And Lanyards, I will get a free one for using Magical Express but will need another lanyard, can I buy them at DW?

Thanks, and any advice is appreciated.

You can buy so many kinds of lanyards at Disney world. When you go to Epcot buy a Flag pin from each of the coutries in the shape of Mickeys head. They are so neat. Think about framing them when you get back as a nice keepsake from the trip. I did that with a commerative Epcot ticket. As far as pins go the CMs wil trade any pin you have. The last time I was there ,last year I did that with some older pins from the Dis store. Have a great trip... I"ll be going in Nov.

Just a few suggestions - if your kids are trading, have them look for CM's with GREEN LANYARDS. These CM's will ONLY TRADE with children 12 and under. Sometimes your child/ren can find something that they really want on those! Also, Wilderness Lodge Resort has a great pin cart (in the lobby, near the ramp to go to Artist Point and the snack bar) that has a binder of pins that you can trade with them - that is where I found a pin of a monorail (with a hidden mickey) and that was one that I know could only be found from a CM's lanyard. There is also a great pin cart in AK after you cross the bridge, but before you go into the African section. I was approached a number of times while I was at Disney by different CM's who asked me if I wanted to trade with them. Any one that I met was very accomodating and nice to my 6yr old daughter who was trading for the first time. This trip I bascially traded just with CM's throughout all of the different parks and resort locations.

Our previous trip in August '03 resulted in my getting a "free pin" with out trading with a CM because I had a "it's my birthday" pin on! That was a special treat - and it will not be a pin that I prolly will not trade because of that!

It is a great way to strike up a conversation! Even the characters get into the act too- that is how I got dragged into a picture with Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers outside Pirates of the Caribbean (I had a pin of them on my lanyard)!

Hope this little bit of information helps you out. Enjoy your trip!
