We're planning a trip for early January and considering an off-site stay for the first time. We're leaning in this direction because we definitely want to add Universal and most all Legoland to our tour plans. And in this economy I just can't bring myself to pay the Poly prices when I know we can spread out and have more privacy for so much less money.
My question is: where to start looking for a place?? We are a family of 4...just DH, me, and our two boys ages 8 and 4. We don't need a ton of amenities, but a pool would be nice for the kids and close proximity to the parks. I realize that Legoland is a hike, but we're prepared for that. All we need are 2 bedrooms, but I still want to feel like I'm on vacation with a resort kind of feel.
DH is kind of fighting me on this and wants to stay on property. I'm trying to show him how much we can get for our money if we go the off site route. It just seems to make more sense this time around considering we're going to be venturing outside of Disney anyway.
Thanks so much for any advice!
