After going back and forth a few times we have finally decided on FW for our October trip. I'm so excited! We are a family of five with three boys ages 14,12 and 9. What should we be sure not to miss? Or what is something that will make our experience even more magical? Any tips will be appreciated! I have the HDDR reserved for one night already.

So ya'll have never been to the Fort before ?
And are ya'll stay'n inna cabin or camper or tent ?

Ya'll are gonna hava great time ! The cabins are way cool,:thumbsup2

I don't know how long ya'll are gonna stay, but don't miss anything !
The fish'n is good, there is Arcade next to the Tavern , the is a Tavern next to the Arcade, weather permitting there is a nightly Disney movie at the Fort campfire (GREAT place to do smores, hot dogs, etc) they have Archery lessons, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trails, Segway Trail rides(this cost ya$). A really nice swim pool and hot tub. You can see the Magic Kingdoms nightly fireworks from the Fort beach/Marina. Every night at 9:45PM if you go to the lake side there is a Electric Boat Parade(very cool)
They have boat rentals of all sorts.
They have daily activities posted at the comfort stations.
And much more,,:cheer2:

Yay! I am really getting excited!

Our boys loved the archery, the movies with Chip and Dale and, most of all - and surprising to us - the Hoop Dee Do review. We also like watching the fireworks and the water pageant at the beach. One word of caution, the Fort has more to do than you will likely be able to complete in one trip so can I suggest that you focus on a few things each day and leave time for the magic to happen?!
Checkers, tetherball, the arcade, sitting on the vibrating barrels and a ton of other activities became favorites for our boys during what we viewed as down time.
Have a great time:cool1:

Glad to hear your boys like Hoop Dee Doo.... I was wondering I'd mine would or not. I have the late show booked for one night. I hope everyone enjoys it.

We always rent a golf cart for few days and drive around the loops looking at other campsites. We are always amazed by all the decorations and some of the camping or not so camping equipment people bring with them. So far the stainless steal tripple sink is the winner :D :D :D

Excellent choice of the Cabins I must say ! My girls (DD's in their 20's now) have great memories of our stays there. WE watch the home movie of them sneaking a "pretend" ride on the golf cart we rented. Only they somehow got it in gear and "crashed" (mildly) into a tree. The room to run around and feel like you're not bothering anyone is great. Bike and boat rentals are fun too ! It's kinda like another "Disney" world there.
I'm jealous, enjoy !!!

I would say if you are driving bring the boys bikes.. My grandson who is 14 years old brought one of his friends who was 15.. They enjoyed the freedom of taking off on their bikes to go fishing or swimming... You will have a good time at the fort... it's a great place for kids...
