Just bought DVC in Oct. Still waiting on Deed. Planning our Oct. visit. We want to stay at Kidani, BUT....When we stayed at Jambo 2 yrs ago our room was the 3rd one from the end of the hall...what is that about 1 mile long? Sure seemed like it.

So at Kidani what are some good room numbers, Savannah view? You know, close to the entrance and the bus stops.

Thanks for any help.

Effective October 1st, new buyers are only allowed rooms at the ends of the halls.

Just kidding :goodvibes

Requesting location by room number only leads to disappointment. You will have better success if you make a broader request like "near lobby" or "high floor".

Not saying anything, just wondering. But when a member asks to be close to the bus stop, what do they do when they get to the park? Not many attractions close to the bus stop.

After being stuck at the end of the hall way between the 6th and 7th bead with no car really was horrible. After a long day of walking all day the park, it was a long way back to our room. If we had a car, it would've been great!

to the OP, when we did not make a request, we were between the 6th and 7th bead out from the lobby. When we requested close to the lobby, we got the 1st room off the lobby (just luck, I know). Also, make sure you realize which animals are on which savanna and request the certain one as well.

OP, I laughed very hard at Disneynutz post because I could have used that advice on my first DVC trip ten years ago. I had the spreadsheet out of my top ten acceptable 2 bedrooms at BCV during check in. When we weren't assigned even one of those I was highly upset at the very beginning of our vacation. My normally extremely Type A wife put it into perspective. She said " who cares if it's not the perfect room this time? We still have 40 more years to come here." ever since then I've never been disappointed in my membership. I also never make requests anymore.

I guess it depends on the person. MY home resort is kidani. We stayed last year and got a savanah view which was in the middle of the hallways.

I feel a savanah view is worth it once. We did most of our animal viewing from the rocking chairs at the firepit or on the second floor lobby balcony.

From where our room was i did not find it that annoying of a walk since the buses were closer walk then the lobby for our room anyway. Plus i loved listening to the african music in the hallways and reading the quotes as we walked along.
