New to DVC - First week of April

Just signed the papers for SSR and would love to use my 05 points now before a large project starts at work and I won't have the time for vacation. Any experience vacationers who have been down the first week of April? How bad are the crowds at the parks? I plan to take advantage of the Early Magic Hours whenever possible. I have a 4 year old and would only visit MK & MGM and the age appropriate venues. Anyone with a 4yo knows the pool rules, and admit this is where we would spend most of our days. Are the pools heated? Thanks!

April is in the midst of Spring Break for schools and colleges. Easter is 4/16 this year so it will be very busy but it will not be the nightmare that easter break (4/9 - 22) is.

That's when we have gone in the past and for the most part it's not too bad. I would advise that if you hate long lines and crowds that you avoid christmas vacation.

We are going the first week of April. The weather is usually perfect that time of year-about 80 and sunny every day. The pools are very warm regardless of the air temp so dont worry about that. In the past crowds have been pretty busy and DVC rooms go fast. Yes go early if you can, although we tend to stay as late as the park is open so we sleep in some days as well. Have fun.
