new to disneyland

we are thinking of going to disneyland 2013 rather than disneyworld.
we were going to stay in the disneyland area and then move on to universal area hollywood.
we would like to visit all the main parks but are unsure of how much time to spend in each area. pleae help ,there will be 2 adults and 15yr old daughter.

Have you been to WDW before?

For Universal a day should be fine.

For Disneyland Resort 3-5 days. It really depends on when exactly you go, as some days are much busier than other an require much more time.

Have you been to Disneyland much? If not you may want to read theDLR guide for WDW Vets.

You would get more replies if you posted this on the main thread board for DL. 3-5 days like Matt said would be ideal for Disneyland. Are you planning on doing anything other than Universal? Not sure Universal is worth a visit.
