I have spent the last week, ever since we decided to try a Disney Cruise, reading these pages. They are so interesting and helpful. We finally booked our cruise to take place in January 2006. :cheer2: It is the Eastern on the Magic. For the past three years, my dh and another couple have stayed at the Port Orleans resort. We have visited all the attractions and decided to do something different this year. :earboy2: ( It just happened that this cruise would encorporate both of our anniversaries 10, and 18) Since we have never been on a cruise and love mickey ::MickeyMo we felt that this was the best way to go!
I was wondering if anyone has been on the Eastern, there is alot of info on Western. Since we are two middle aged couples without children, is there different areas we should be looking at as far as activities. We are a little worried that cruising is more geared for children and my dh would have preferred to go on a regular cruise line, my friend in arms and I are disney crazy so we got our way! :Pinkbounc . Any hints or tips for adults travelling would be appreciated, as well as what to expect and see on the islands!
Its still 4,256 hours away and I am so excited!!! (kid at heart, what can I say?) :flower:

I think you will do great on Disney even though you are not taking kids. A lot of the ship is adults only. They have an adults only restraunt (which you must do). It is an additional $10.pp but worth so much more. A good place to look for different things to do on the Eastern is www.cruisecritic.com under ports of call. You may want to look into a day sail out of St Thomas. There is a max of 6 people on a sail boat and you can tell the cap where you want to go or just let him decide....hot lunch, open bar, relaxation, snorkling...whatever your heart desires. I have heard so many people say it was the best day of their cruise. There are a ton of companies out there Ike Witt is who we use, Jester, nightwind, highpockets, new horizen, winifred....Godfrey tours is highly recommended for a tour of St Thomas.
St Martin has Moho beach were the planes land practically on top of you, the America's cup regatta (haven't done but supposed to be a blast)..
Just some ideas. Hope this helps. I would check out cruisecritic and post this on the main Dis boards...I bet you would get a bigger response. There is one like it going on now www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=853777
Hope this helps.
