First let me say thank you to everyone on this board. I’ve been reading this board for a couple of months now and I feel like I’ve been given a wealth of information that is going to make our trip fantastic. And now I’ve decided to join in on the fun…(sorry if this is a bit long!)

My name is Natalie. I’m a 34yr old SAHM, married to DH 36, DD Annabelle is 3 and DS Noah is 14 months. We are going to Disney on March 25th (I know right after Easter yikes!) for two weeks. We are staying off site with my in-laws at their timeshare at Bahama Bay.

So here is our plan… We are going to buy the 10 day MYW pass. Daily it works out so much cheaper and if the kids are tired or having an off day it won’t be the end of the world if we just spend a few hours.

The plan is as follows:
We (or rather the kids and therefore us!) are early risers so we’ll be at each park at rope drop. Most afternoons will probably be spent back at the resort napping and then enjoying some pool time.

Wed Mar 26 – MK, ADR’s at Crystal Palace for lunch 11:45am
Thu Mar 27 – AK
Fri Mar 28 – maybe TL or BB…what do you think with young kids…both of our kids can swim (they’ve been in swimming lessons since 6wks old) and we think they’ll love the lazy river and the kids area. If the adults can sneak in a ride or two great, if not, no problem.
Sat Mar 29 – Outlets! I’m coming from Canada and love shopping at US outlets!
Sun Mar 30– Hollywood Studios
Mon Mar 31 – Epcot, Lunch ADR at Coral Reef for 12pm
Tue Apr 1 – MK, BBB w/DD at 10:30am, ADR at Cinderella’s table at 12pm
Wed Apr 2 – Downtown Disney
Thu Apr 3 – AK, ADR for Breakfast at Tusker House
Fri Apr 4 – MK in the late afternoon evening with DD only.Should we make a dinner ADR somewhere? If so, where? Our plan is to see Wishes....if she manages to stay up that late!
Sat Apr 5 – tbd
Sun Apr 6 – MK
Mon Apr 7 - tbd

We are renting a car and bringing down our two car seats as well as our two singles strollers (have decided to leave the monster double (a Graco) at home). The singles are…Inglesina Swift and the Peg Pliko. I think I’m going to buy one of those things that allows you to attach the strollers together so that when they are both out walking, then one parent push both strollers more easily and the other can be watching the two of them. The both recline so they can nap. DS sleeps in strollers no problem but DD (who still needs her afternoon nap) hasn’t napped in a stroller for a very long time so we’ll see how she does.

What do you all think? I’ve tried to follow everyone’s advice and seeing as how we are staying off site and have such young kids we are not getting the park hopper and are staying away from the parks that have EMH on certain days (betting that those who are onsite will be at those parks). Do you think I should subscribe to Tour Guide Mike’s to see the best itineraries?

One question…my DH will be celebrating his birthday while we are there. Any suggestions on where I should take him out to dinner? My in-laws will watch the kids – and then I’d like to go to Pleasure Island after dinner.

Once again thanks for letting me read up these past few months and I look forward to joining in on all the discussions.

Wow Natalie I'm very impressed with your schedule. I like that you have a non park day scheduled in every couple of days or so. I do the same. I think a waterpark would be fine to try. You seems to have the right attitude
if the kids are tired or having an off day it won’t be the end of the world if we just spend a few hours.
I think Blizzard Beach might a better kid area. You might want to change Sunday the 6th from MK (Sundays are said to be the busiest day and there might be a Pirate and Princess party that night if Disney does the same as last year)

Just try to get to the parks and rope drop because it will be really busy.

How lucky to have such a long vacation to be able to do things more leisurely! My husband says I go COMMANDO every time we even talk about Disney!

Your plan sounds wonderful and you have some of my favorite things in your schedule. Since you have so many days, you will be able to see a LOT, but keep in mind you probably won't get to see it ALL. Having that attitude will keep you RELAXED.

:rotfl:

Yep i agree it looks great, i wish mine too was able to be that long!!! (might be able to if we didn't go ever 1-2 years! LOL) If you haven't called for the ADR you need to NOW... if you don't have it booked yet CRT you will not get it most likely being how busy that week will be but try!!! If ou have all the ADR made AWSOME!

Thanks for the feedback.

Yup ADR's are all made. I'll keep a lookout for the Pirate & Princess party dates and make any necessary changes.

Anybody here used Tour Guide Mike for planning the day's itinerary? Is it worth it?

Thanks!
