Welcome to the DIS!

I am also from Ohio, around the central ohio area.

Hope you enjoy yourself at Disney during Halloween. I have never been during that time, so I am no help.

Just wanted to say Welcome!

One favorite for viewing the fireworks and the parade is the balcony on the back side of the train station. That way no one can get in front of you and obstruct your view. The down side is that you have to go up there and STAKE down your spot as much as two hours before the fireworks start if you want to be in position to look straight down Main Street at the castle for the best view of the fireworks and the parade will pass by right in front and below you:thumbsup2 You may not want to spend that much time staking out a spot, but it is a prime location.:thumbsup2

Welcome to the DIS!!

I've been Halloween night twice now and it will be crowded. Just go in with some sort of a plan. Set priorities of what you want to get accomplished.

The character lines will be long and pretty much stay long till about 11:00p.

The trick or treat lines will look long but they do move very fast.

I like being in front of the Castle for the fireworks (but not too close) so I get the full effect.

I like watching the parade either sitting on Main Street near Casey's corner or in Frontierland (Frontierland for some reason has better lighting for getting a shot of the Headless Horseman).

We like to focus on the Halloween aspect of the night and save the rides for another time although we do do a couple of rides in between trick or treating and the parade and fireworks.

Have fun!

:welcome: and have loads of fun!!!

We are also in Ohio, and very close to Maineville!!! My brother works at KI! Anyway, do not miss the parade! It's worth staking out a seat for. We watched it in front of the castle, but it was a little too dark to get a great look at the Headless Horseman. As long as you know ahead of time that it will be crowded just enjoy yourself, and have a fabulous time!

Go you will enjoy the party.
