New to digital scrapbooking...basic question

I am new to digital scrapping. I am in the process of making a photobook of our trip to the zoo on Shutterfly using their backgrounds & all. But I have just returned from Disney and would love to purchase some digital kits to make a scrapbook. I understand how to make a book on Shutterfly but where can I go to design and order a completely custom book (not using the company's backgrounds)? Is there such a place? Thanks in advance!

I own Photoshop Elements which I use to enhance my photos and do my digital scrapbooking that I don't do quickly on Shutterfly (but most of my books I actually just do through Shutterfly, especially because I don't do them until I have a free coupon that is only good for a few days).
