I see on pictures of the menu boards at various location that the have the DDP icon by them which i assume that those are the only items i can order with my DDP from that location

Can i tell on the official Disney Dining section of their website which items from a location are eligible for DDP and which are not? Like Sleepy Hollow. I see a menu board pic from the park and not all items have the DDP icon next to them BUT when i look on disney dining site, it does not have the same designation.

Curious for planning purposes.

The icon indicates snack credit eligible items. I don't think there's anywhere on the Disney website that will tell you if something is snack credit eligible or not. Restaurant pages will indicate if/which meal credits are accepted (table service or quick service) and whether it takes 1 credit or 2.

It's best to go by the menus at the location. Some third party sites will also say whether an item is snack credit eligible, but sometimes they aren't up to date.

You are able to look up what locations accept Table service and Quick Service credits right on the disney website. There is a drop-down box at the top of the DINING page that says "Dining plans". when you choose a restaurant and see the phrase "Some dining plans accepted", click on that....a pop up box will show you what dining credits would be used at that location.

The purple DDP icon is for snack credits. the Disney webpage doesn't have a list of everything that is snack credit eligible, but I will see if I can find one of the blogs that posted a pretty comprehensive list of items.

OK, so the DDP icon is just for snack credits? I am on the Quick Service plan. So if an item is not marked as a snack credit with the purple DDP icon, i can use one of my counter service credits assuming the location takes dining plans of course?

thank you!

Yep! If you go to the Disney Dining page, just choose the QS dining plan from the drop down and you can see what QS locations are in each park. I'm an obsessive planner, so I like to know ahead of time what my food options are!

I think the QSDP is great, at least for my family. You can get some really decent meals if you do it right. Like others have said, check out the menus ahead of time. One of our favs is Wolfgang Puck Express in the Marketplace at DS.

Any location that accepts QSDP will let you have one entree and drink for one meal credit. The drink can be *almost* anything including alcohol, so make sure you inquire. If your meal doesn't happen to come with a side, you can use a snack credit (the purple symbol) to add one. At your resort, they’ll let you exchange your drink for a snack, dessert, or side since you’ll already have a refillable mug as your drink (this only works at resorts). You can also exchange one meal credit for 3 snacks. We always have extra meal credits at the end of our stay and cash them in for a ton of snacks. Goofys candy kitchen is a great place for this since they have some nice treats including the create your own, which counts. But it can be done most anywhere.

Not anything without the symbol is eligible to use a meal credit on. At Sleepy Hollow, for example, the Nutella waffle is not a snack credit and not a meal. That would need to be paid for out of pocket, as it is neither a meal nor a snack.

OK, now I am confused again.

At Sleepy Hollow for example, Disney Dining website says:

American Cuisine
Quick Service

$ ($14.99 and under per adult)More Information - Range reflects the average price of adult dinner entrées (breakfast and lunch generally cost less), except Character Dining locations, buffet locations, dinner shows, and special dining events where range reflects the average adult price of entire meal and non-alcoholic beverages. Range excludes alcoholic beverages, taxes and gratuities except at dinner shows where beer and wine, taxes and gratuities are included.Beginning of tooltip contentEnd of tooltip content
Dining Plans Not Accepted

So it says Dining Plans not accepted at Sleepy Hollow but on another site i saw a recent pic where it showed the menu board from Sleepy Hollow and several items had the purple DDP icon besides them but as you mentioned the Nutella Waffle sandwich was not one of them. I am confused why the Disney Dining Site says that Dining Plans not accepted but the menu board indicates that Dining Plans are accepted??

It is confusing until you get there and kind of see what it all looks like.

There are MANY small kiosk type places where you'll see the "dining plans not accepted" on Disney's website, but when you see the menu board, the purple logo will be there. What that means is you cannot use a Quick Service (QS) or a Table Service (TS) credit at those places, but they do have items eligible for your snack credits.

Yes, "Dining Plans Not Accepted" means you can't use meal credits there (TS or QS). At most of those places there are snack credit eligible items, just go by the symbol.

The Disney website is good for knowing where you can use meal credits, not so good for snack credits.
