New to Camping - so excited - so many questions!

Hello all! Please be patient with me, I am new to this!

DH and I are beginning to plan a trip to WDW the week of Halloween 2012. (Saturday - Saturday). I have been to WDW nearly 20 times and I have always stayed at the resorts so I am completely unfamiliar with FW. Our plan is to drive to Florida, rent a 19' camper (2 of us) and stay at FW for the week in the camper. I have a few questions:

We would like to bring our dog, Bella, she is 11 pounds and loves adventures. If we bring her - will she be welcomed by the other campers? Do other campers have their dogs in tow?

Is the week of Halloween busy at FW? How early should we reserve a site?

What is the difference between the preferred sites and the other sites?

I believe I read that there is a trick or treat event held in the campground.....is this only Halloween night? Or throughout the Halloween season?

If we drive our own car and have the camper will we have a place to park our car for the week?

We have never camped before - any tips for first timers?

I am so excited about this trip - of all my trips I have never been to the World in the fall. Fall is my favorite time of year, so I am super excited. And this is also going to be our Babymoon trip! It seems only fitting since we were married at WDW, that we kickoff the next phase in our lives at WDW!

Dog allowed on site and you better call first thing in the morning. There is room for your car on the site. Very busy, Epoct wine and food festival going on also. We book 6 months to a year ahead. We have a 35' class A coach and need a premium site with room for our slide outs.
