New to BLT today - Question!

We finally joined DVC after many years of discussing it. We joined at the Doorway to Dreams in Schaumburg, IL, and bought BLT. Just wondering how you get the DVC location signature illustration at the bottom of your posts. Thanks in advance for your help!

I had a lot of trouble with this and then realized it wasn't working because when I clicked on the insert image- is was putting in the http:// and then when I copy and pasted the location of the image, it was putting it in again, so it was there twice and the pic wouldn't show up! Once I deleted on of them, it was fine.

Kind of personal , but did you finance this? If you did what was the bottom line for you - money out of pocket at closing and then monthly payments ( how many points did you purchase?)... asking so many questions b/c we are wanting to buy in too - currently have a sale pending for VWL - through tss - also, did Disney have any incentives for you? If you can answer that'd be great! - if you want to e-mail rather than post ... that's great too!

The only incentives being offered for BLT were $5.00 off per point. We purchased 180 to start. As far as financing goes, we're debating on whether to finance or pay outright while awaiting our paperwork. We are putting a substantial amount down at closing regardless. Graduated in 1992 CAS (now apparently WCAS). Sure does seem like a long time ago. We're season football ticket holders so we still get to campus frequently. Hopefully they'll continue their winning ways!!

Thats pretty much what we had anticipated on doing - paying the 10% down and saving the $ from here to closing and paying in cash... just in the age old mind debate -currently : TSS VS Disney I guess... even though we have started our process to purchase though TSS...
I suppose in the end all that matters is that we ARE DVC!!!

Wow - winning. I really don't know what that is like since my years there they set the record....for most games lost in a row! One of my favorite stories for my kids is that I was in the marching band. Most schools play the fight song when their teams score. At Northwestern, we played on first downs - and even then it was only once or twice a game! Then, some genius had the great idea to lock Willy the Wildcat (aka "mildcat") in his cage until we scored thinking that would motivate the team. All it did was make Willy frustrated and fodder for the other fans to ridicule.

I do remember being excited when they played in the Rose Bowl a few years later.
