I have always booked our trips about 50 days out, and am thrilled/nervous to actually book 180 days this time! I figure I need to, as we are going for THE busiest week of the year. Gulp. I think most of my ADRs are not super high on the hard to get list, so I am not sure what to book first. Advice please? Here is my current list (in order of days planned):

Plaza dinner
Sci-fi lunch
Hollywood Brown Derby Dinner (Xmas Eve)
Kona Cafe breakfast
Rose and Crown early dinner (Xmas)
Ohana breakfast
Trails End dinner
Yak and Yeti lunch
Tokyo Dining lunch
Liberty Tree Tavern lunch

I understand LTT and Epcot restaurants may not be open for bookings yet.

I would do it in the order of the restaurants you care about most! Well, start with Xmas at least. Then Xmas eve. If you feel equally about all of them, ohana breakfast next, then sci-fi lunch, then the rest should be no problem.

I understand you actually get 180+10 days in advance to set ressies. Once your 180 days out hits you can reserve all your dining up to 10 days in advance. So you could start with the ressie that is the furthest in the future. It will help because less people are at that date making ressies
Hope this is correct...,anybody ?

I don't think you have anything that is going to be super hard to book at 180, so I would go first to last. Maybe do the Christmas eve/day reservations first. While this is an incredibly busy week, most people won't have free dining (some will based on check-in date), so the ADRs aren't as insane as less busy times during free dining.

Side note - on your HS day, try to get SciFi as early as possible and HBD as late as possible (while still being able to make the late Fantasmic) - otherwise, you might not be hungry at dinner.

Your X-mas and X-mas Eve ADRs are your first priority.

Don't forget to have backup restaurants planned just in case one that you want is already full. You don't want to have a day with no ADRs, especially around one of the busiest times of the year.
If you don't get what you want, don't worry too much about it. You have lots of time between now and then to keep searching. And ADRs always open up, especially after FP+'s are booked and as your arrival date comes closer.

Thanks! This helps. I definitely have backups planned. I will try to space out Sci-Fi and HBD. Or just convince my family to just order milkshakes and onion rings (all I want!)
