new tmobile customer question???

Hi all..... after being on the phone with 4 different customer service reps last night and 3 different technicians..... and getting all diffferent answers solutions... thought maybe my dis friends could help...

I just signed up with tmobile last month and added the 200mb/monthly data plan and was told when I signed up that if I went thru my wifi router it it would not go thru my plan data allotement... only when I used the 4g network would it count toward my monthly usage...

well i noticed yesterday that when I was home and went on line on my phoneit went toward my monthly usage... so I called tmobile last nite.... was told by 6 reps that the wifi would not go toward my monthly allotment... went to bed last night assured all was fixed...

woke up this morning and its till deducting.... called this morning and was told by this customer service rep that all the other reps are mistaken and that wifi internet counts toward monthly usage.... so does anyone what the deal is..
I am presently searching thru the tmobile website and cant find the answer...ugh..... help:flower3:
 
WOW, with AT&T using Wi-Fi doesn't count toward monthly usage. I had a Palm Pixi once though and that thing ATE the data/internet usage. It updated all the time and you'd have to go in manually and set it not to use the data during certain hours (it always updated when I slept LOL....so I'd wake up to tons of data usage).

My Blackberry doesn't use 1/2 what the Palm Pixi was using....plus it's not nearly as touchy (Palm would get locked up and I couldn't unlock it without hooking it up to my computer). Still I would think that Wi-Fi wouldn't go against any plans data usage.....you're not using their system so it shouldn't cost you a thing. My son even uses his IPod touch (not a Phone) on Wi-Fi and it's free.....why would a phone carrier charge you for something that you could get free using an IPod LOL
 
I have used tmobile for years and it doesn't count. If you went to bed and your phone kept using data then your phone is accessing the internet. Call back and speak to tech support fire your phone. They can help you with your phones settings. Fyi if you go over your allotment tmobile doesn't charge you. They just throttle down your speed until the next month starts.

i spoke to three different tech guys last .... and got no where:confused3
