New for 2005 - Magic Your Way Tickets
The Walt Disney World Resort will switch to Magic Your Way Tickets – available to all guests, whether or not they stay at a Disney resort hotel – beginning January 2, 2005.

With the Magic Your Way Tickets, you first choose the number of days you want on a base ticket that allows you to enter one theme park each day. Then you can decide which options (if any) you want to add, paying for only those features you want, such as the ability to visit multiple Disney theme parks each day or to visit Disney water parks, Pleasure Island, etc.

Advance Purchase Savings - Get extra savings when you purchase Magic Your Way Tickets of 5 days in length or more with either the Park Hopper option and/or the Magic Plus Pack option in advance, before leaving home.

Magic Your Way Base Ticket (admission to one theme park per day, tax NOT included)
# Days Adult (ages 10 and up) Child (ages 3-9)
1 $59.75 $48.00
2 $119.00 $96.00
3 $171.00 $137.00
4 $185.00 $148.00
5 $193.00 $155.00
6 $196.00 $157.00
7 $199.00 $160.00
10 $209.00 TBA

Add-on purchases to the base ticket include:

Park Hopper Option - Adding the Park-Hopper Option lets you come and go as you please through all four Disney theme parks on the same day or every day for each day of your pass. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $35 – or just $5 per day on a seven-day ticket!

Magic Plus Pack - This option provides the choice of admission to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island or Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $45. The flat rate gives you 2-5 visits to Magic Plus Pack attractions, depending on the number of base ticket days you purchased. Thus there is a big incentive to buy the longer passes, so that you'll get more "pluses" for your $45.

Magic Your Way Premium Ticket - This ticket combines the benefits of the Park Hopper option and the Magic Plus Pack option. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $80.

No Expiration Option - Regular Magic Your Way Tickets expire 14 days after their first use. Choosing the No Expiration option means you are free to come back and take advantage of unused tickets at any time. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket starts at $10 for a 2-day ticket, up to $55 for a 7-day ticket. ($100 for the 10-day ticket)

I have received an e-mail about this as well. I have ordered tickets (10 day) from Virgin with my fly/drive. Will these change now I wonder? It all sounds very complicated.

No sooner do I get my head round one system and they change it!
We`ve gone the AP route, but these new deals sound good. With the packages the $35 meal plans sound very good value. It would be great if they could be added to a room only reservation.

Just telling my dad about this as he's off to WDW in May. What will be the best way to buy these tickets In Your Opinion? here on the boards?

Are the Ultimate Park Hoppers affected???- Surely if you stay on site you still get unlimited access using the UPH??

:earseek: I'm panicking now!

After being unable to breathe for around a minute I've found the information about the new "Ultimate Tickets" giving unlimited access to the parks, water parks, PI and DQ on disneyworld.co.uk. They must be replacing the UPH's.

PHEW! :scared: :faint:

Had a look at the new tickets on the WDW site - looks like they are bringing out new UK tickets too - 14/21 day Ultimate Ticket, and 5 & 7 day Premium Passes (Just like hoppers). Think the 10 day world ticket is no more.

US site has the Magic Your Way tickets - prices look good IMO :D

I wonder what Virgin will do about the 10day tickets we've reserved, if they're no longer available. Has anyone any information about the prices of the UK ticket media - I couldn't see anything myself - in particular the 14 day Ultimate pass?
Thanks.

This annoys / disappoints me somewhat. I really like the idea of being able to customise your ticket that they are now doing with the Magic Your Way Tickets, but then when you go to the UK version of the Disney website, it only allows you to buy the 5 or 7 day Premium tickets.

Personally I'd like to buy a 6 day tickets for our upcoming trip, WITH the plusses but WITHOUT park hopping and expiry options (saving myself £60ish per ticket for things we won't use), but I can't unless I find an American website that will post the tickets to the UK.

I suppose that with the dollar rate so good at the moment, that's actually not a bad idea, but I'm still puzzled as to why we don't get the same choices that those in the States do.

I suspect this is because the typical UK holiday is in multiples of 7 days ie 7, 14, 21 etc.
