Hi all.....

I have 2 left over park hooper days for all five of us. They are left over from our trip last year. We can still use these, right??? I am getting a little concerned because I keep reading about their new ticketing system. I am assuming all past ticket purchasers must be grandfathered in. PLease help!!

from what I undrestand, all previously purchased tickets will be honored. That is why some people (like me) are getting their tickets now before they change them.

Thanks for calming my nerves. I assumed that was the case but wanted to be sure!!

I believe you can "trade in" your left over hoppers to put towards the new magic your way. I am assuming you will want more than two days worth of tickets when you go. Not sure though!

I haven't seen clearly what they will give you in price and if it is worth it or not though. I heard they will give you a prorated credit based on the price of the number hopper you originally purchased. I have hoppers from like 10 trips and lots of one and two day passes left so I am not sure if I can "cash" all of them in or not, but I would like to!

Anyone know if we can?

Ask at the ticket booth how much trade in value the old tickets have,. Then step aside and do some arithmetic to help you decide.

In the past it has been better to use up the old tickets as-is rather than trade them in. But you may find that using up the old tickets for the first part of your stay and buying a not so long Magic Your Way pass for the rest of tyour stay costs more in added dollars compared with trading in the old tickets towards a long Magic Your Way pass for your entire stay.

If you can envision doing a short short trip further off in the future or if your immediately planned trip is 11 or more days, the old passes are definitely better used as-is. (MYW has been advertised as ten days maximum per ticket then you need a new ticket whose first day has a higher nominal cost compared with a seventh or tenth day.)
