We've booked! 4 nights from 4th June at....Hotel Cheyenne.
We want to go back to Sequoia Lodge, but when I phoned to book yesterday the 30% had gone. The only hotel with any discount was Cheyenne at 25% off so we have booked it for 2 adults. We will add myself and my sister at check in as we are buying APs :D
My parents don't really want to go to Cheyenne, they don't think there will be enough space in the room for 4 adults, and my mum really wants to stay in Sequoia Lodge.
Of course, me and my sister are just happy to go anywhere! We actually think the Cheyenne would be great fun.
But I guess we will keep our fingers crossed for another sale that would allow us to upgrade.

The Cheyenne is good fun and the theming is great. The walk to the parks isn't much further than the Sequoia Lodge and you can always pop in for a drink on the way back!
It probably will be a squeeze for 4 adults and the bunks; particularly the top one are meant for a child (or small adult). To be honest you might be better in the Santa Fe with 2 doubles.
You never know there may be another offer coming along and then you can upgrade! At least you know you are going and can start planning!:surfweb:

The walk isn't an issue, it's mainly the space. On our very first DLP holiday in 1994 we stayed at the Cheyenne, but that's when my sister and I were aged 6 and 1 - we are now 23 and 18 and both almost 6ft. Like the daughters at the start of Mary Poppins!
I probably wouldn't consider the Santa Fe though, I went a walk there once and thought the theming was dreadful, really depressing and not magical. I know lots of people like it but it's just not for me.
But you're right, the main thing is we can plan. Going to my mum's for dinner tonight and will hit them with my provisional meal plan :surfweb:

congratulations on your booking.

On the other hand - staying like this is a part of an adventure, right? :cloud9:

Great news that you're booked. I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter where you end up :goodvibes

Great news Lola! The Cheyennes theming is great but I'm agreeing with your Mum, I rather the SL. Thats personal taste though! We liked the SF! Takes all sorts :)

Great news, looking forward to hearing more about your plans. We are thinking about being there the same week:goodvibes

Thanks everyone! I'm still hopeful for an upgrade because I want my parents to enjoy the trip as much as possible. We are going to the Cheyenne for a couple of days in September with our cousin - second ticker coming very soon
